LOL..I have a toy Yorkie who loves to stand in front of the steering wheel with his front paws on it. He strains to look over it like he’s actually driving. My husband ‘lets him drive’ up to the mailboxes every day. LOL

It’s fine just as long as the pet is on a controlled leash.

Honestly.. I wonder if Progressive is behind it. They offer (I think it might be included with auto policies) pet coverage while in the car.

As long as it counts as a passenger for the car pool lane it get a seatbelt

If it does not count as a passenger for the car pool lane it does not need a seatbelt

I’d really like to see every state outlaw dogs riding in the bed of pickups.

I think that we need to resist the temptation to make every good idea a law. (I agree with you on the problem - my dog is always restrained when she rides in the back of my truck - but I disagree with your solution.)

Unfortunately, it's this "let the government fix it" thinking that steadily got us to the point that we have two POS candidates heading up the tickets for the two major parties. Both of them will latch on to big government solutions for every problem.

Yeah, no point in telling idiot parents that they can’t let their 10yr olds ride in their pickup bed either.

Sorry, don’t see the connection in this circumstance. I don’t see this as any different from requiring seatbelts.

You’re right. It’s better to cram both parents and their 6 kids in a single cab truck.

Let me guess, you should be the person assigning what vehicle someone can own.

Let me guess, you’d let your let your old ride in the bed of your truck and think it’s perfectly fine.

someone tell me if Cristie signed this cowflop into law

Its been on the books for 16 years. It was never really enforced here. I think they must have someone plying through the statutes looking for revenue producers.

So you want fines, empowered cops, judges, courts. You want to impose your will on the world and use the unfettered power of the State to do so.

We would live in a better world if people would keep to themselves and mind their own damn business. This world will never be perfect. It won’t be be perfect with a law on the books to fit every circumstances. This world won’t be perfect without a bunch of laws. Therefore since the world can’t be made perfect, I choose less laws.

Yet never is their ability shortage of wags with an ace to grind. So more laws, more cops, judges, courthouses and misery. Lots of stuff make me mad. But I have never said, “their aught to be a law”. Shame. On. You.

The only law I can think of that is useful is everyone who calls his city council, or state legislator to ask for a new law should be fined 1000 bucks for being an idiot.

If I had a 10 yo I wouldn’t have a problem with it.

I rode in the back of a truck when I was 10, save for a few bugs on my teeth it didn’t hurt me.
