Dems Defeat Bill to Ban Sex-Selection Abortions

So we can ban super-sized drinks, but not this barbaric procedure?

A handful of GOPers voted against this commonsense bill that would have protected vulnerable women from the hideous coercion of their husbands or partners who want offspring of one gender over another (usually boys over girls).

China's vicious campaign against girls has arrived on American shores. Rep. Ron Paul an OB/GYN, voted with the Democrats, perhaps out of a federalism concern.

The argument by Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee and other left-wing abortion fanatics is that this law would have led to women being "dragged out of doctor's offices" in an effort to prevent their "personal decisions" as doctors try to guess women's motivations for the procedure.

What a shame, that a super-sized drink is considered more important than a newborn baby girl! Lord, have mercy on us!

Poor scaredy-cat Republicans. If they weren't such wimps they'd point out that eliminating baby girls is a real “war on women.”

If I could draw a political cartoon, I would draw rows and rows of pews, packed with donkeys sitting in them all singing and holding hymnals with a sign at the entrance saying ‘Abortion Clinic.’

There is nothing a democrat will not do in the name of their god Abortion.

Boner killed it by scheduling it in “emergency” session - which avoids debate but mandates a 2/3rds majority.

I hadn’t seen the roll call on this vote, and I was shocked to read that he had voted against the bill. Did he find a place in the Constitution where sex-selection abortions are allowed?

Salve

This evil has been going on for so long in other countries too.

Their blood of innocent cries out for vengeance in front of Throne of God!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Babies are gift from God, many of you here are parents, and you know the feeling when you hold your child in hands, when you see them so innocent and so close to you, little smile, touch of love.

These people are evil, no they are not, and they are daemons incarnated. I feel like I am living in Ancient times of human sacrifices. Baal is their master now.

I am so tired.

Merci.

Then I guess ‘rats won’t oppose abortions based on the sexual orientation of the fetus (if and when it is ever “proven” that homosexuality is genetically determined, which I don’t believe but ‘rats do).

I’d love to see the look on their faces at Planned Parenthood when some pregnant girl walked through the front door and said, “The geneticist told me my fetus will be homosexual. So I want to abort it.”

They can’t complain now, right?

Man, I’m terrified what God is going to do to end this wickedness.

Yes: I am not surprised at Ron Paul’s vote. I have always said he was a nutbag.

The mostly overlooked content of the bill banned not only sex-selection, but also RACE-based selections.

There are no words to tell the world how much I dread this Presidential election. An evil regime is washing over this great republic like a sewage tsunami, but the opposition is too timid to engage! We dance little minuets, arguing this and that, but we dare not discuss the dissolution of families or the fact that our children cannot read, write, or understand mathematics. We won't talk about generations of families on welfare and the growing number of fraudulent disability cases. Churches spend their time and money feeding bums and encouraging the acceptance of sexual deviancy. Abortion of babies is big business. For all intents and purposes, our national borders are wide open. Non-citizens vote and receive benefits illegally. Taxpayers—just half of the workers in this nation—are at their limits. Why can't we stop worrying about being “mean-spirited” and put these issues in front of America? I don't want to be polite anymore. My back's against the wall, and I'm wanting to fight my way out.

This is no longer my America... I don’t know exactly what it is, but my America has already died.

When the People of America no longer respect the sanctity of life, the People are no longer worthy of that gift.

If abortion for sex-selection is a “barbaric procedure” and should be banned, then every abortion is a barbaric procedure and should be banned. There is no reasonable line between “no abortion” and “any abortion, any time, for any reason.”

The pro-aborts understand this, and that’s why they fight every measure that would imply there is a moral issue with killing an unborn baby for any reason.

So, let’s carry this argument a little further out.

For the sake of argument, let’s agree that people are born gay and not a product of a dysfunctional environment. So, we agree they are born with these attributes, just like a boy is born with boy parts and a girl is born with girl parts.

Since a person is born that way, we’ll also presume there is somehow a way to determine this gay state while the baby is in the womb (because obviously, we can tell the gender very early on).

Now, the expectant parents are informed that their fetus has tested positive for gay. (Here’s the part): They decide to abort the baby because it’s gay.

How would Mr and Mrs. Liberal thinker view abortion in this case? Be all for it? I bet lib heads would ‘splode.
