Has Support for Gays Cost Obama the Black Vote?
Speigel Online International ^ | 5/31/12 | Marc Hujer

Posted on 06/01/2012 9:33:12 AM PDT by SaraJohnson

By openly supporting gay marriage, US President Barack Obama has offended many of the country's African-Americans, who number among his most loyal supporters. Several of the community's religious leaders have even called on their congregations to withhold the support that will be crucial to his re-election.

Lose of enthusiasm equals less votes. The percentages will not change but the vote count will be less.

He certainly nailed White Non-Breeders support.

For blacks it’s not politics, it’s personal. He is them. If you call him a failure you are calling them failures and so you are a racist.

I'd disagree. Blacks don't support Obama because he's black - they support him because he's a Democrat. And blacks support Democrats because they are the party of racial preferences and freebies. If Obama switched parties and became a conservative Republican, his black support would drop to zero.

I believe that you are correct in your assessment:

“I don’t think any of the black people who voted for him last time will vote for Romney, but I do believe a a % of them, maybe 1% will stay home because of this issue.”

Maybe 1 to 3% will stay at home and not vote because of Obozo’s many failures for Blacks in America.

Hopefully, the stay home and not vote % will run high in the college kids and grads with instant unemployment degrees. That could cost Obozo the election in many swing states as the doped out Hopers and Changers voters insured his election 4 years ago as they turned out in mass.

I’d like to believe there are principled Catholics and principled Black Protestants; and that these groups will do what is right.

I hope I am correct.

Had they been principled enough, they wouldn’t have supported him the first time. But perhaps the forced abortion payments and homosexual “marriage” perversions will push them to the edge.

Gots to be kidding right?
Obammy could be photographed in the act with underaged boys and blacks still would vote in the 90 percentile for him and he knows it. Jews, lesbeans and fags too.

Given the option blacks (generally) will vote for anybody but the white guy, no matter how detrimental to their interests that choice may be. It’s tribalism.

Just getting them to sit it out on election day would be enough to hope for.

I think some black voters will not bother to vote this go round. Not real sure if it will be much of a number....

Can somebody please explain to me why Obama’s being on the Down Low doesn’t matter to anybody in the media?

After what they did to Cain?!?

Sometimes I think I am dreaming....the media is a joke.

I agree they won’t vote for a Republican, but I think some number much greater than 1% will stay home.

Fine, that’s their right.

Pastor Dwight McKissic from Arlington, Texas, declared, “Obama has betrayed the Bible.” Pastor William Owens from Memphis, Tennessee, decried what he described as “the homosexual community hijacking the civil rights movement,” adding, “I did not choose to be black, and you did not choose to be white — and homosexuals make a choice to be homosexual. So why compare what we went through with your situation? It’s not the same thing; there’s no comparison.”

Wow, this guy has his Christian head on straight. Wish there were many, many more like him...not only in “Black” churches, but in ALL churches. Were this so, not only would Mr. Obama not be reelected, Mr. Romney wouldn’t be elected either. Then maybe we could see a real conservative be elected POTUS.

The only way Obama MIGHT lose the black vote is if he demands that they take responsibility for their own actions and demands that they get to work. Of course he would convert to Christianity before THAT ever happens.

A two-fer ... very well said!!
