Maybe it’d be better if the Fla. official was named T. Jihad Herren?

Corruption, aye, but this bloke has done nothing but grind political axes since he took office.

Most AGs will stage the occasional organized crime and/or drug bust in order to convince the public they are - ahem - actually doing the job of the nation’s chief law enforcement officer.

Nazi analogies are cheap and easy but they are appropriate when the police use the power of the state to suppress political opposition rather than solve crimes.

"The head of the Justice Department’s voting section, said the effort to remove voters appears to violate the 1965 Voting Rights Act, which outlaws discriminatory voting practices that disenfranchise minorities."

You're not disenfranchising anyone if the people you are removing are dead, or don't have the legal right to vote. Talk about trying to stretch the law. The Dems are pathetic. Always trying to change the rules to suit their own selfish purpose.

"according to an analysis by the Miami Herald, which concluded Democratic and independent voters are the most likely to be targeted illegal immigrants, convicted felons, and deceased citizens.

It really doesn’t matter if the ineligible voters are pink or purple. All that matters is if they were ineligible. So, when looking at the stats on numbers on the rolls who were found ineligible, color or ethnicity is irrelevant.

Were they eligible, or were they not?

Simple question, Holder.

If FL is purging people who are actually eligible voters, there’s a problem.

Otherwise, there’s not.

From the article:

Florida is among a handful of states covered by the Voters Rights Act Section V, which requires areas with a deep history of racial discrimination — mostly Southern states — to seek approval from the Justice Department or a panel of federal judges before attempting to change any voting-related policy. Five Florida counties are required to abide by that law.

Does the Privileges and Immunities clause in Article IV, Section 2 of the Constitution prohibit this (specifically referring to the Federal gov't's implementation of a rule applicable only to certain people and states), or does it prohibit merely a State from doing this?

On a list of almost 2,700 voters the state suspects are noncitizens, blacks and Latinos were disproportionately represented,

Just a wild guess as to why Latinos might be a 'disproportionate' part of the suspected 'noncitizens' on Florida's voter roles.

Maybe because Latinos are the overwhelming majority of 'noncitizens', or illegal aliens in the US?

Just a guess.
