(Business Insider) Florida state officials will continue their quest to purge purportedly ineligible people from voter-registration rolls, a representative of Secretary of State Ken Detzner said Saturday, in defiance of objections from the U.S. Justice Department and county officials who say the policy violates two federal voting laws.
On Thursday, T. Christian Herren Jr., the head of the Justice Departments voting section, said the effort to remove voters appears to violate the 1965 Voting Rights Act, which outlaws discriminatory voting practices that disenfranchise minorities. On a list of almost 2,700 voters the state suspects are noncitizens, blacks and Latinos were disproportionately represented, according to an analysis by the Miami Herald, which concluded Democratic and independent voters are the most likely to be targeted.
Despite the warning, Detzners representative said on Saturday the state intends to go forward with its campaign. We have a year-round obligation to ensure the integrity of Floridas elections. We will be responding to (the Justice Departments) concerns next week, Chris Cate wrote in an email to Reuters.

MOST CORRUPT US ATTORNEY GENERAL IN THE NATION'S HISTORY.
Maybe it’d be better if the Fla. official was named T. Jihad Herren?
Corruption, aye, but this bloke has done nothing but grind political axes since he took office.
Most AGs will stage the occasional organized crime and/or drug bust in order to convince the public they are - ahem - actually doing the job of the nation’s chief law enforcement officer.
Nazi analogies are cheap and easy but they are appropriate when the police use the power of the state to suppress political opposition rather than solve crimes.
On a list of almost 2,700 voters the state suspects are noncitizens, blacks and Latinos were disproportionately represented, according to an analysis by the Miami Herald, which concluded Democratic and independent voters are the most likely to be non citizens.
This IS Florida, which has a large population of blacks
and hispanics.
NOW, of those 2,700 how many ACTUALLY turned out to be
non citizens, people who should NOT have voted.
How can it be fair to the rest of the polis to have an
election influenced by non eligable voters?
Seems like playing by the rules is a racial issue....don't understand the Holder mind-set....
Thanks for posting. Article/thread BUMP! HOORAY Florida!
You're not disenfranchising anyone if the people you are removing are dead, or don't have the legal right to vote. Talk about trying to stretch the law. The Dems are pathetic. Always trying to change the rules to suit their own selfish purpose.
He even looks like a ‘RAT.
He’s Amerika’s poster boy for abuse of power.
And Tombstone should secure the water they need. The Hell with this dictatorial Federal government.
So dead blacks are minorities now with the right to vote? We need to get these a**hats out of office.
What if it’s 53,000 crackers?
He’s a punk. Nice clothes on a punk only makes a well dressed punk.
SCOTUS just told the town that won’t die to dry up.
It really doesn’t matter if the ineligible voters are pink or purple. All that matters is if they were ineligible. So, when looking at the stats on numbers on the rolls who were found ineligible, color or ethnicity is irrelevant.
Were they eligible, or were they not?
Simple question, Holder.
If FL is purging people who are actually eligible voters, there’s a problem.
Otherwise, there’s not.
That's the whole point. The rules are the white man's rules. Right now though, cretins like Holder are less dangerous than the Jamie Dimons, Christine Lagardes, Ben Bernankes etc. of the world. They're creating the conditions that will loose goons like Big Sis and Holder on all of us.
I SWEAR I didn;t think anyone could be more EVIL than the KILLER of Women and Children, Janet Reno.....then Eric Holder came along........he’s gaining on KILLER RENO.....
If NO race mentioned on either; and if the number is proportionately larger for these two groups then the proportion of registered voters, it is a simple indicator that the members of the groups are the ones involved in voter fraud.
If there is no indication of “A”, the sorting by race is done after determination of ineligibility NOT before, then we can further deduce this group is involved in deception.
This is not profiling...It’ reality!
