For as long as there have been teachers, students have had excuses: my dog ate my homework, my computer crashed, I had food poisoning.
But 11-year-old Tyler Sullivan of Minnesota isn't one to make excuses. He's a good kid.
"If I was president I would say no more smoking, no more tobacco, and no more drugs," said Sullivan.
But on Friday, Sullivan skipped school for the first time in his life, to meet President Barack Obama.

Pay close attention to the kid's comments.
"If I was president I would say no more smoking, no more tobacco, and no more drugs."
This Sullivan kid has been conscripted into the Obama Youth Brigade, and forced to spout Obama rhetoric and some reason is scared to question Obama about his birth certificate and his being born in Kenya.
Damn.... Even this pardon is corrupt.
It’s what the prez does best, make excuses.
Yeah, that’s the one.
Thank you!
Dear Ms Union Teacher,
The Sullivan kid missed school yesterday because he was prepping me for the “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader” show/campaign event/fundraiser.
Your President,
Barak Hussein Obama
Did he blame Bush for the absence?
Imitating Chris Christie’s writing an excuse note for a youngster who skipped school to see him speak.
President Obama Writes Fifth Grader's Excuse NoteThey should have had MOTUS (Michelle of the US) write the note.
Her composition and penmanship skills are at the fifth grade level.
If I were the teacher I wouldn’t question it. After all you have to be pretty sick in the head to want to play hooky in order to see Barack Obama in person.
Which, of course, means he and the President have nothing in common.
Even his signature is gay.
he forgot “no more pollution from Big Oil and Big Coal”.
seriously, now days the more school they skip, the smarter they’ll probably be.
“the dog at my homework then Barack ate my dog...”
