In an upset, U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell has defeated fellow incumbent U.S. Rep. Steve Rothman in the Democratic primary for the 9th Congressional District. Rothman conceded shortly after 10:30 p.m. The two men found themselves facing off after redistricting, which put Rothman in a heavily Republican district and Pascrell in a district that more closely resembled the one Rothman had represented than his own. Rather than run an uphill battle against a Republican incumbent, Rothman chose to move to Englewood and run against Pascrell.

He! Another win for Christie. Brilliant redistricting plan. I despise Rothman. Disappointed in Jersey GOTV operation. Tea Party favorite Larsen lost to RINO swine Lance in newly shaped district. Well, Joisey does send Garrett and Runyan to congress.
Shmuel “Shmuley” Boteach (the Republican in the democratic leaning district) is a colorful character if nothing else-he’s not as conservative as I like (per his wikipedia entry) but an R is a R.
I wish the real conservative next door Scott Garrett a well relection.
Garrett is one of a handful of members of Congress who doesn't elicit immediate revulsion.
He deserves to be reelected.
I was once seated at the next table to Pascrell for breakfast in a hotel restaraunt near Wayne, NJ. He is not quite as slimy as Schmucky Schumer, but very close. It was clear that he is a narscissist.
But isn’t Pascrell totally soft on the Islamists? I mean, like TOTALLY SOFT. I’m not sure he was the better of the two, although as they are both dems, so they both, er, stink.

Watch the Clintons grab the Democrat party and flush deadbeat Obama down the toilet into th cesspool of obscurity. The Clinton moment has arrived!!! Clinton either brooms Obama out right now or he lets him lose in November, 2012, and Hillary is the one for 2016, unchallenged by moron, idiot Biden!!!
It's not Pascarell's personality that I have a problem with-he doesn't seem any more or less contemptible than the average Jersey pol-but his intent on turning the rest of this country into a large scale model of the Gaza Strip.

The race was never competitive based on how the district was redrawn after the 2010 census, Pascrell had a built in 15 point lead.
That being said, Bill has gone over to the dark side of old school ethnic machine politics, and it’s going to get ugly in southern Passaic county if this continues.
