Is there a Ron Paul putsch under way?

Is a Paulian putsch being planned for the Republican National Convention?

Newt Gingrich has warned that Republican leaders have not thought through “how they’re going to handle the convention in Tampa, and how they’re going to handle the Ron Paul forces.” The New York Sun reported that “what Mr. Gingrich seems to be worried about is the delegates that Congressman Paul is winning through his strategy of dealing with state conventions. The former speaker had just come from the convention at Georgia, where … the ‘Ron Paul people’ were out in force.”

I have been receiving alarming emails concerning an underhanded, anti-American Ron Paul coup that is being plotted for the GOP convention.

From Virginia: “I’m running for delegate to the RNC convention in Tampa. There is a serious Paulbot infestation in the GOP here in Virginia. I’m spending a lot of time at GOP apparatchik meetings. I’ve gotten the endorsement of the Conservative Coalition (I was the top vote-getter), and usually that is enough but not this cycle.”

And this came in from a reader of my website AtlasShrugs.com out West: “There is a very interesting situation going on behind the scenes in the Republican Party state caucuses, and the MSM is not reporting it. Ron Paul’s followers have taken control of the Republican state committees in Nevada, Alaska, Iowa, Maine and Louisiana and working for more control in upcoming meetings. They have stolen delegates to the upcoming Republican National Convention away from Mitt Romney by following some technical rules.”

The Paul people are all Kool Aid drinkers. They need to hold a “convention’ in Guiana.

Despite not being a Paul fan, I’m quite pleased that they helped show the national committeemen the door in Michigan.

It would serve the GOP-E right if Ron Paul Occutards did disrupt the Convention.

I had to look up the word "putsh", I have no recollection of ever seeing it before.

Definition: A sudden attempt by a group to overthrow a government.

Anything PaulBots would do will not surprise me, most of the ones I know are insane.

Maybe, but mitt and obama's supporters are queers and baby killers. I'd rather drink the kool aid and get it over with than bend over and repeatedly take it up the arse to die a slow, lingering death from AIDs.

Fortunately there a non-of-the-above choice that will ensure a strong national defense, a strong economy, a dismantling of the police state, and you won't have to live with the shame of having been violated in the hinders by either mitt or the fraud.

Republicans have failed us.

Ron Paul is certifiable.

RINOmney is Obama lite.

RINO will hopefully win...which means we won’t get Obamacare, etc immediately. He’ll take a couple of months to do it. Big fat hairy deal.

Since self-proclaimed ‘conservatives’ are bending over for Romney while even the GOP Establishment is lukewarm to indifferent to him, it is natural for some other group to fill the power void. Go Paulistinians!

Putsch is a German word, commonly referred to Adolf Hitler and the beer Hall Putsch in Munich in the early 20s prior to him being sent to prison where he wrote Mein Kampf.

The use of the word putsch is well intended by WND as a slap tp ROn Paul and his followers. WHile one might disagree with his policies, he IS following the rules laid down by the RNC in securing delegates on the state level. More power to him and it should make for an interesting convention

Oh, they'll make noise, but Paul isn't as influential as he thinks he is.

Let me get this straight, they “stole” delegates by “following the rules?”

I can assure you Sir, I am no coolaid drinker.

You sound like a brainwashed romney toy.

Why the hell would you vote for someone that changed nothing in Mass.

That place is a nightmare.

Try thinking for yourself, not what the GOPe wants you to think.

Romney needs to be shaken up and stay shaken up. If he is elected as president he will not govern from the right. We will be vigilant. So if Ron Paul shakes things up at the convention I see it as a good thing. Romney needs understand he cannot walk all over us they way Bush did.

If it keeps Willard off the top of the GOP ticket come November? I’m all for it.

Of course, it also should be considered read that I don’t want Paul at the top of the ticket either.

“Anyone but a Socialist”. And no, I don’t care about Party affiliation.

Nah, it’s just Rombats stirring the stinkpot again.

They’re really good at it, have you noticed since 2008?

We won!!!

Michigan's conservative movement made huge strides over the weekend, and the message is now guaranteed to be carried to Tampa and Washington D.C...As I left the floor at Cobo, a long line of conservative activists were manning the railing behind the delegate area, exchanging "high-fives" with everyone as they left....we had legitimately proven we could beat the establishment at their own game, using their own rules...it was a marvelous feeling...Michigan has set the tone for the national convention, let's hope the nation is watching...
