Goats removed from Simsbury High School roof overhang

An unusual surprise was waiting on top of a roof overhang at Simsbury High School on Wednesday morning.

Simsbury High School officials said four goats were found on the roof overhang of the facility by a custodian who arrived at 5:15 a.m. to begin the day.

The goats were all safely removed from the top of the 10-foot overhang and classes were held at the school as normal.

It's unknown how the pygmy goats got onto the overhang in the first place, but Simsbury police said they believed the incident could have been the result of a senior prank.

EXCELLENT Senior prank! One a bit better was my oldest brother’s Senior class. They assembled a car in the library. I believe it took them all night. The next morning, one of the Brothers (Catholic boy’s school) opened the library door, switched on the light and there was a car! They had a good laugh, called in the Senior boys who disassembled it and removed it. Legendary!

WINTHROP, Wash.—Students arrived at school Wednesday at Liberty Bell High School in Winthrop to discover a truck welded around a column.

School officials said the Class of 2012 cut the Toyota truck in half, brought both pieces to their stomping grounds, and welded it back together as senior prank.

School officials said a welding class was just added to their high school curriculum this year. Administrators said the truck would be removed Thursday by the students.

It looks like the kids put some plywood around the column to protect it as well. Reasonable (and clever!) kids and a reasonable school administration. Of course - Winthrop is a rural farming area and conservative.
