RACINE, WI (WTAQ) - Van Wanggaard says hes not about to hand control of the Wisconsin Senate to the Democrats, without a thorough review of the votes cast in his recall election.
The Election Night tally showed that Wanggaard lost to Democrat John Lehman by 779 votes, or 1.1 percent out of 72,000 votes cast Tuesday.
But Wanggaard tells WRJN Radio in Racine that at least 600 absentee ballots have still not been counted. The station says there have been reports of voting irregularities throughout Racine County, and problems with the unofficial tally.
So Wanggaard says hell hold tight before conceding, and see what the countys official canvass has to say. That canvass is required to be done by June 15th, and Wanggaard could then seek a recount no later than June 20th.
He said people across Wisconsin and the country have asked him to seek an immediate recount but he cant until the canvass is done. If the canvass shows that he lost by more than one-half-of-one-percent, his campaign would have to pay for a recount instead of taxpayers.
Wanggard defeated Lehman in the last Senate election in 2010. If his loss holds up, Democrats will have a one vote majority in the Senate at least until the scheduled fall elections.
If he stills wants a recount, I’m sure hands will be sat upon and nothing will be done about it until it’s too late.
Which is basically what the Dems wanted. Enough control to tie everything up, in hopes of damaging Walker.
I pray the WI Republican Party attorneys don’t give up on this. They should be able to prove the fraud. They have many eyewitnesses.
RECOUNT and RECALL
RECOUNT and RECALL
RECOUNT and RECALL
Fight them with their own methods. Enough playing checkers while they play chess.

This one is looking like it was stolen. There were a lot of irregularities with registrations and intimidations at polling places in Racine.
If this causes the left to waste (lose) more money, then I’m for having the recount take place, even though it’s a moot move to do. That district is vanishing, and it’s being changed to favor Republicans.

Exactly!!!
Recount, yes, but a recall is a pipe dream. Isnt the constitutional rule that one may not start gathering signatures for a recall until one year has passed since the persons term began? Lehmans term presumably will begin when he is declared the winner in a final and unappealable judgment, or maybe when his credentials are accepted by the Senate (Im not sure). If its the former, one wouldnt be able to commence gathering signatures for his recall until June 2013 at the earliest; given that it takes a few months for the recall process to play itself out (what with signature certification, the primary and all), the recall election and swearing in wouldnt take place until January of 2014 at the earliest; would the GOP really go through with that just to have a 19-14 majority instead of an 18-15 majority for a single year? And if the start date is deemed to be when Lehman has his credentials accepted by the Senate, that means that they might not be able to start gathering signatures until January 2014, and the new senator wouldnt take office at all (since the recall election wouldnt be held until the senate had adjourned for the year prior to the November 2014 general election, when the seat would be up). So I seriously doubt that the GOP will risk the negative publicity of a recall election for such a limited benefit.
I’ve been in “training” (stealing taxpayer dollars) for 3 days. I THOUGHT that Walker and the Fish both won, AND all 3 of our state senators also won. Did I miss something? And if we lose ONE state senator, does this give control to the sub-human filth known as the democraps?
Hope the ballots are in lock down....And GOOD FOR HIM!
Four Senate seats were up for election: 3 recalls and 1 who quit due to family priorities. Dems need only one of those seats to flip the majority to them.
Put the threat out there - make the RATS play on defense, even if it's (not very) feasible. The blood is in the water.
The time is now to pull out all the stops and fight these RAT c**ks**kers like the we did against the Japanese in August, 1945. They've been very obedient since then.
I’d stay away from recalls. Even though they gained a few senate seats in the process, the left’s recall mania backfired when Wisconsin voters finally rebelled against the sore loserism with the Walker vote.
Well, damn! This puts a damper on my mood.

The Wisconsin Senate doesn’t start it’s next session until next January. Plenty of time to get it done right.
Good for him.
Fight back.
In my mind, it’s not if demorats cheat or not....
it’s just how much and can they be caught, shamed, and prosecuted.
How much can it cost to contest? Holding the Senate so Walker can continue setting a great example is worth quite a bit strategically. Those little b’tard cockroach liberals will undermine any conservative efforts. It’s time we take the long term view and chase the rats out of the basement.
“Four Senate seats were up for election: 3 recalls and 1 who quit due to family priorities.”
I see your point, but still, I’d LOVE to start shoving their BS back up their asses.
IMO, the typical, modern DemocRAT isn’t a human; they are inferior lifeforms.
