Pelosi: Public Opposes Obamacare Because ‘Understanding of it Has Been Jeopardized by Misrepresentations’ By Edwin Mora June 7, 2012
(CNSNews.com) -- House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said the reason why many Americans oppose Obamacare is because “the understanding of it has been jeopardized by misrepresentations,” adding that the public’s opposition is “not about the bill, it’s about the message of it.”
At a Capitol Hill press conference on Thursday, Pelosi was asked about a new CBS News/New York Times poll showing that 41 percent of Americans want to see the Supreme Court overturn the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) in its entirety, and another 27 percent said they want to see just the mandate requiring all citizens to buy health insurance struck down.
After citing those numbers, a reporter then asked, “Why do you think that is and what does that say in terms of the chance that the Supreme Court striking it down?”
Pelosi said, “I’m very proud of the Affordable Care Act. I think that the understanding of it has been jeopardized by misrepresentations that have been put out there relentlessly, largely by the industries that have -- I shouldn’t say not benefited because they all, everybody benefits from this health care bill -- but who claim to have suffered from the bill.”
She continued: “Here’s the thing: the American Affordable Care Act stands there with Social Security, Medicare, health care for all Americans as a right, not a privilege. It was opposed vigorously by two forces, one the health insurance industry and secondly by anti-government ideologues who do not believe that there should be a government role in either in clean air, clean water, as well as health care in our country.”

Pepsi - I agree with you. Unlike the members of Congress who voted on it without reading it, I have had to read it in its entirety. I’ve also had to read and re-read the thousands of pages of regulations on this that the Obama Administration has been pumping out since March of 2010.

Any law that was passed between 2008-2012 that was passed without congress reading it ...SHOULD BE BROUGHT BEFORE THE COURT AND OVERTURNED.
They didn’t read obamacare and they didn’t read the 2009 stimulus either, which has their alternative healthcare plan in it. Don’t believe me...do your homework and google it!
NO LAW. ABSOLUTELY NO LAW IS VALID if it has not been read and understood by congress. The vote is/was invalid and it was not able to be representational of We the People.
Curent members are no brighter - they just hire lawyers and other "specialists to obfuscate the wording with extra wordiness and convoluted "logic" that can later be twisted to say whatever they think it should say.
So what Pelosi is saying is that people hate Obamacare because they understand it. I can see how that could confuse her.

This woman is “stopping-an-electric-fan-with-her-tongue” stupid. Breathtakingly stupid. How she got to be Speaker of the House is stunning. And I thank those who were responsible because she illustrates more than adequately how stupid Democrats are.
All you really have to understand about 0bamacare is that the overall goals of those who support it are antithetical to individual liberty.
No need to get in the weeds on any policy they support when you have that understanding in mind.
We have to live under Obamacare to know what’s in Obamacare.
