I never “got” Bruce Springsteen...nor will I ever “get” Parker. I remember both Newsweek and Time had big cover stories on Springsteen in either the same or consecutive weeks. I heard the guy after that and was severely underwhelmed. Like I say, Parker strikes me the same. We eschewed our television input about four years ago. My blood pressure is dramatically lower.

The press only likes Springsteen because he's a big lib. The period you speak of I'm going to assume was the early to mid 2000s when Springsteen was on his big anti-Bush anti-Iraq War kick. I liked his early stuff but then I asked myself why is he getting all this publicity he hasn't had a great album in 20 years, then it occurred to me that he was another useful left wing idiot. Screw Springsteen.

I remember SJP in `02 or `03 stating any entitlements cuts by GWB would devastate members of her family who, she said “depend on the programs to survive.” So my follow-on question would be: “you earn million$ annually and can find the resources to help your own flesh and blood?”

The other point about this horse-faced goof is how she prattled on one time about how, as a “democratic activist” she worked to support George McGovern in 1972. Problem is... she was 6 years old at the time!
