Moscow city courts have upheld a ruling that in essence bans gay pride parades in that city for 100 years. The decision was rendered this week and already the Russian LGBT community is planning to fight it.
In response to Moscow's earlier ruling that they would ban gay pride parades for 100 years, Russian LGBT rights leader Nikolay Alekseyev had sought a permit to have pride parades in Moscow each year until 2112. Moscow's municipal courts denied his request and now the appeal of that verdict has been lost.
LGBT to challenge in European Court of Human Rights Alekseyev and other leaders of the LGBT community in Russia and elsewhere say the next challenge will be in the European Court of Human Rights. Russia has been a member of that court for over 12 years and cases originating in that country make up about 20 percent of the cases heard in the court. In the area of LGBT rights, the court recently ruled that same-sex marriages were not a "human right."
The Russian government has said that rulings such as that of the Moscow City Council are not anti-gay but rather rulings that protect "the majority's rights." President Vladimir Putin has not commented on controversial decisions by his government involving the LGBT community and Andre Banks of the LGBT rights organization All Out, has said that Putin will end up on the wrong side of history.
I wish our courts would do the same thing

Actually, Putin is in good shape. The vast majority of Russians are stridently anti homosexual. All Vlad has to do is decree that he will not commit police/legal or other government resources to do anything concerning the hell they bring on themselves and the problem will quickly solve itself.

These people have been watching too much western TV/media. Many of the old Soviet power people may be dead, but their methods live on in much of today’s counterparts. The gay lobby there think they are dealing with American Democrats. They will be corrected of that mistake before long.
The people don’t want it so they are not likely to be very upset when the purge begins. But as I said above, the people themselves are likely to do the purging IMO.
From my perspective, I don’t care who does the shooting. These degenerates are a real enemy to the society where they live. They’re seeking to overthrown the culture to shape it in the degenerate way they view the universe. we in America have a resolve to resist the islamic degeneracy, why is it we tolerate just as dangerous an enemy as the sexual degenerates who will destroy our culture given enough special treatment and access to our children?
I don’t see that resolve at all. I see a people fat and happy, willing to let muslims upend their way of like just as long as they can stay fat and happy. Aside from a few vocal opponents, most of America is perfectly content to make excuses for muslim and hono destruction of the foundations of what America used to stand for.
I submit as evidence all the hate crime laws, mosques, prosecutions/lawsuits for ‘offense’ and the like. There are a relative handful of us average folks opposed. None with the power/platform and willingness to actually take a public stand against either. When one rarely does, the GOP shouts them down/benches them/cuts their supply lines until they have sufficiently atoned.
Eventually people will fight back. But not until each and every one has been personally/financially screwed over/hurt or worse. Until then, they have no desire to rock the boat. I hate saying that of my own country, but it’s the verifiable truth.
How ironic as Russia was once on “the wrong side of history”. In a few decades the notion of “gay rights” will be seen as the absurdity that it was once viewed when the special interest groups empowering them as no longer powerful.

This constant drumbeat for US military involvement in Syria from the EUSSR and UN should tell you something, especially when the Russians vetoed the whole idea at the UN.
(In Serbia, the massive anti-EU and anti-gay riot was a great example of the general public sentiment in countries where the Orthodox Church still has considerable influence.)
