Ralph Nader: Bill Clinton ‘laying the groundwork’ for Hillary by ‘undermining Obama’
The Daily Caller ^ | 06/09/2012 | Nicholas Ballasy

Posted on 06/08/2012 10:24:30 PM PDT by Publius804

Former Green Party presidential candidate Ralph Nader told The Daily Caller that former President Bill Clinton is “undermining [President Barack] Obama” to lay the “groundwork” for Hillary Clinton’s presidential run in 2016.

Clinton recently told CNN that Republican candidate Mitt Romney’s business record at Bain Capital is “sterling.” TheDC asked Nader if he agreed with Clinton’s statement.

“He’s laying down the groundwork for Hillary Clinton running for president in 2016. Everything she is doing and everything he is doing argues that they want to run Hillary Clinton for president in 2016, so while he might appear with Obama in fundraisers in New York and elsewhere, he’s basically undermining Obama,” Nader told TheDC on Capitol Hill after advocating for raising the minimum wage to $10 per hour.

Nader added that Clinton does not “necessarily” want Obama to lose re-election but doesn’t want the Clintons to be viewed as anti-business.

“He wants to appear with Hillary as very friendly to business. He operates out of New York City. He doesn’t want to alienate Wall Street,” Nader said.

Nader knows all about undermining.

The only problem with that theory is that Hillary probably dislikes Bill as much as she dislikes Obama.

And that is was formulated in Nader's "mind".

Does this mean Ralphie might consider running? Maybe he could get Bill’s endorsement. “He’s had a sterling consumer advocate’s career!” Wow! Ralphie and Oblameyou on the same ballot. Moonbats would be apoplectic deciding which lever to pull.

Score one for Nader. If Obama destroys this country for 4 more years then there will be no Democrat in the White House for the next 40 years and the Clintons know it.

Nader is a deeply paranoid personality.

He worked for Daniel Patrick Moynihan at the Department of Labor decades ago and according to Moynihan, Nader approached him one day and whispered that he thought the department's phones were tapped.

Moynihan responded that it didn't matter. Nothing they were doing at the department was secret anyway...

Hillary is about 64 years old, so 4 more years and she's not out of the running at 69.

In terms of other Democrat choices, there is Biden. Biden is already 70ish, so he'll be 74 and the VP, which generally makes him the heir-apparent. Clinton would love to have Biden tossed overboard and herself be the VP this time around, but I doubt that will happen. So, she has to keep her SecState job or some other high visability position. Biden needs to make her look bad.

It would be better if Obama/Biden lost, so far as Hillary is concerned. Then Biden would have a failure on his record, he wouldn't be in a position to undermine her, and they would be on equal footing in 2016.

Hillary is best served by an Obama loss.

She also can look to Romney's term as governor of Massachusetts which he royally screwed up. There is also a real chance of another recession/depression to start off any 1st term of his presidency. IOW, it will be hard for him to look good, and especially if there is still divided government.

So, with Biden weakened and a potentially weak Romney, Hillary is definitely best served by an Obama loss.

70 years old

What I find even more disconcerting is that she apppears to have an alcohol problem.

When was the last time you saw a sitting federal government staff or cabinet member holding an adult beverage? I've seen several pictures of Hillary holding a drink and in one of them she's throwing back a bottle of beer.

She also attends official meetings looking like she just crawled out of bed. I remember the picture of her with hair clips (the kind the hair stylist uses to hold back sections of hair while she works). And then there's the picture of her with a pony tail, glasses, and no make-up. These pics are evident of someone who's had a difficult time getting out of bed after a rough night.

I'm expecting for Hillary to be the president before much longer. Forget her lack of accomplishments, or anything negative about her and think like a democrat who has realized that Obama is going to drag the rest of the party down with them.

There is no reason for Hillary to wait until 2016--indeed, I would not expect her to run then unless it is as an incumbent. What I can see happening is that Biden is forced to step down for whatever reason. Obama will nominate Hillary for VP thinking to reinvigorate his campaign. Instead, he'll be forced to resign for 'health' reasons and Hillary will ascend to the presidency. Being the first woman president will be her price for coming onboard to pardon Obama from any form of prosecution, for whatever the real reason he resigns. Hillary has no reason to come onboard just to be the nominee or to run. She needs to have a guarantee as to her place in history.

The democrats will rally around Hillary as the incumbent candidate, refusing to blame her for Obama's mistakes, recalling Bill's economic successes and support her. The dems who had been utterly disgusted with Obama will flock to her and money will pour in. Hillary will be blameless, even if the dems do not win as she was willing to step in when things looked darkest for them. She will go down in history as the first woman president and, if she does not win, like I said, will not have to carry any of Obama's blame. After all, she stepped up for the good of the nation and the good of the party. For her, it's a win/win situation. Obama will get the blame as will the republicans should she win and her presidency be less than successful.

The problem is, as mentioned in other posts, that the dems have no other viable options at this point. Hillary has name recognition and the dems recall better economic times with Bill.

If Obama is NOT the Dem nominee, Hillary would be the Dems ONLY choice. At such a late date, they could choose no one else, nor should they. Clinton's have more name recognition than Obama. They have their own organization that can be fired up in a nanosecond. They can instantly raise money.
Disillusioned Obama voters would be instantly energized by a Clinton campaign. Dems could switch from Obama to Clinton in a heartbeat. Remember electing her you would “get two for the price of one”, a THIRD Bill Clinton term.

How could this happen? As you see already in the news that Obama is imploding. The press is starting to desert him. His own party and base are not happy with him.

ALSO, June 18th a court hearing on Obama’s eligibility may be very intertesting. I know, “here we go again”, but one of these times it's going to work (meaning exposing this pos poser). This could be the one.

Also, mid June is when Sheriff Joe's cold case posse is going to drop the second shoe. Are these two things related? I don't know but it is curious/interesting.

Now do I want Obama out of the race and Hillary taking his place? HELL NO!!!! Obama can't win. Hillary would be MUCH HARDER to beat. So I hope Obama doesn't become unelectable too soon to be replaced on the ballot. Timing is everything.

While Obama won't quit on his own, he CAN be easily FORCED out.

Even Nader can see what is happening right in front of his nose. Of course, I think the timeline might be a little off — the Rat nominee for 2012 hasn’t been named yet.

I can’t believe how many don’t get the gravity of our nation’s situation and this election. If BHO destroys the country, there’ll either be NOone in the White House (at least not freely elected) or there’ll be Democrats in power permanently.

If all things were equal (if BHO were white) that might be true. But they have SO much invested in The Wan and between white guilt and fear of riots and racial reprisals, they’ll stubbornly stick with him, at least publicly.

That is, unless Bill/Hill see to it that something so blatantly bad about BHO is exposed that even the leftist media can’t sweep it under the rug.
