Hasn't that been his M.O.? What goes around, comes around, serves Joe right.

Joe Straus: This is what happens when the "Good ol' boy" network stays in Austin too long. That's why I would not have voted for my Governor, Rick Perry in the Presidential Primary (I actually voted for Newt even though Romney was already the "presumptive" nominee.) and I did not, and I WILL NOT vote for his pal, David Dewhurst. Power corrupts!!!

It certainly sounds like he got what was coming to him.....lol.....I voted for Newt as well and also voted for Cruz....just hoping his momentum helps him take down Dewhurst.

Yes, Strauss bites from everything I’ve heard. So he’s not a delegate? Good, but likely meaningless.

I think it was a despicable abuse of power and trust.

Don't know about all the behind-the-scenes intrigue, but I'm more than happy to see that despicable RINO Straus get bounced out of the national convention.

Good riddance. One less back-stabbing slug infesting the convention.

A Romney-Obama ticket would not surprise me in the least. They both are liberal and believe the same things....Sometimes Romney has believed things twice.

The convention in Tampa should be a lot of fun behind the scenes. The Michigan delegation got choice room picks second only to Romney then were promptly replaced by tea party and libertarian types. mitt will have to hide in his room the whole time.

It seems to me that they’ve been co-opted by the hispanic caucus and, maybe GW had something to do with it.

Mr. RomneyCARE supported illegal aliens when
was a pi$$-poor Governor (tanking Massachusetts).

Mr. RomneyCARE let them work on his SANCTUARY
and lied to the local newspapers more than once,
and was caught by them more than once.

Woe to the GOP, when this all comes out in October
if Mr. RomneyCARE represents the GOP.

Hi, naps.
Spot on. Although sometimes Mr. RomneyCARE
has re-believed things more than twice. ;-)

Though not a blood relative, Straus is actually John Tower’s political heir in TX today.

Everything I’ve seen so far this year has Romney backing away from that position. His online campaign site states:

Don't worry, wait long enough and he'll shake the Etch-a-Sketch again.

We already have the Romney-Obama ticket running. Two sides of the same coin.

Are you saying Straus was selected by the State Convention and going to the National Convention as a voting member [either district or at large delegate] of the Texas delegation or was he attending in some non voting VIP position?

If he was selected and approved by the state convention as a voting delegate then how did this lady change the convention selection?
