David Axelrod Says Classified Leaks Not From White House
By George Stephanopoulos | ABC OTUS News – 5 hrs ago

Obama campaign senior adviser David Axelrod said he is confident that newly launched investigations will show that recent leaks on classified national security information did not come from the White House.

"I think the authors of all of this work have said that the White House was not the source of this information," Axelrod told me this morning on "This Week." "I can't say that there weren't leaks. There were obvious leaks, but they weren't from the White House."

Axelrod said Obama takes all "life or death decisions" on national security seriously, and that the White House would not leak information that may jeopardize classified operations.

"He understands that when he commits people to missions that their lives are at stake, and the safety of Americans are at stake," Axelrod said. "And the last thing that he would countenance or anybody around him would countenance are leaks that would jeopardize the security of Americans on these secret missions, and the success of those missions."

"but they weren't from the White House."

And if they were, this dipstick would say so?

No reason to investigate then, carry on.

If the White House isn’t involved, then Scooter Libby goes back to prison? That’s what happened last time.

How would Axelrod know? Is a political campaign operative automatically given Top Secret clearance?

Word twisting: by “White House” he means the physical building itself, not the people in it.

“but they weren’t from the White House.”

White House is a “meaning of is is” moment.

Axelrod means literally the WH, not the administration. Weak.

Ax and Barack must KNOW where the leaks come from, if they can assert where they’re “not” from?!?!

You can’t say what “isn’t”, without knowing what “is”.

I assert they DO KNOW where the leaks come from, and they are LYING!!!

Keep an eye on the words used when they try to explain the leaks away. Notice that initially they said no one was authorized to leak info. Now, they’re saying that the alleged leaks didn’t come from the White House. Both statements could be true. However, that doesn’t mean that a political ally at CIA or NSA might not have leaked with a wink and a nod.

Maybe Ax called him up and he said hell no, he’s not going to dive under that bus. So this investigation charade begins to hide that Obama knew about it from the start, rather than Obama just outing the agent by name.

David Axelrod Says Classified Leaks Not From White House

Sorry, a*****e.

As a steadfast rule, I will not believe anything Obama, his closest advisors, his cabinet and his family say, ever.

Did I mention never?

Not a clear statement.

Just a bunch of hyperbole...

“but they weren't from the White House.”

Well then, that's all we peasants need to know. Seriously, even if someone was dumb enough to believe Dipstick Axlerod, just whom did leak the info? If they are to believed then obviously they have conducted the internal investigation. Since the Rats haven't hung out any Repubs on the Intelligence Committees, it has to be one of their own they are protecting.
