As The Blaze previously reported, liberals assembled this weekend in Providence, Rhode Island, for Netroots Nation, an annual conference aimed at promoting the progressive cause. Closing out the event was Van Jones, the former White House official who has distinguished himself as being especially hostile toward the American right. In his address, the one-time green jobs adviser warned the audience about the Tea Party and encouraged them to fight diligently to ensure their policies are enacted.

I am “shocked I tell you, shocked”; all this time I have been told by the hyper intelligent pundits on the Left and the Right that I was a member of a tiny fringe group that could influence nothing, especially any election or government action. Now I learn from a source like this, that I am actually a member of a vast right wing conspiracy that wields tremendous power. I have been told in no uncertain terms that members of the Tea Party Patriots Organizations have been relegated to the ash heap of history. WHO AM I TO BELIEVE. Oh woe is me ( he, he, he).
Great movie.
I’ve always said 0bama will be exposed as was Sean Connery in this movie.
In fact at one time my Tag Line was:
Obama: “The Man Who Would Be King””.
100 years of history and the tens of millions of dead are evidence of what happens when leftists accumulate power.
100% dead on correct. There is no reason to hire libs and every reason not to. Personally I refuse to associate with them at all and my purchases are made so as to not give lib companies any of my money to the greatest possible extent. Lots of used items and such. And honestly, I haven’t suffered much for doing it. In fact, having a clear conscience makes up for the inconveniences and more.
They have no power without money.
Van, baby, we have no intention of restricting the damage to just one-tenth of the left. We intend to squash you like a bug. Defeat you utterly. Leave you in a smoking ruin.
Then, we'll salt the earth around it.
lurk: “100 years of history and the tens of millions of dead are evidence of what happens when leftists accumulate power.”
You’re right, and Americans have no one to blame but themselves if they do nothing to resist the anti-American left.
You know, I don’t really have anything against progressives, per se. You could probably even call me a traditional liberal, one who believes in freedom and justice and opposes bigotry and rules for rule’s sake.
However, I don’t see anything liberal about today’s progressives. These folk aren’t content to let their fellow man live free. These are big government totalitarians. They won’t agree to disagree. They want to squash us and anyone else who doesn’t believe government should be our god.
That’s the fundamental issue here. Like most modern conservatives, my ideology does not require me to destroy dissent. At worst, a conservative government would be indifferent to the sufferings of individual citizens, but it certainly wouldn’t stand in the way of private citizens forming voluntary unions to aid citizens in need (something even leftists have the power to do right now!).
Leftists, on the hand, won’t let us live free. They have an idealized, utopian way that they think the world should work, and Heaven help anyone who dares disagree. They would seriously create a Brave New World or 1984 if they could, and we would be their targets. As Mark Levin often says, the left won’t be happy until everyone is equal...working in the rice paddies. He’s right!
Hey Van, I got your reparations right here!

I'd like to tread on his face with my Mustang - then back up and tread on it again.
That's me. I no longer associate with them in any capacity, unless I have to in order to keep peace - as is with family or, for example with my wife's business contacts.
I turned my back on lib family, friends and damned the torpedos. It totally altered my life and totally improved it.
Each must set their own limits of course, and I don’t intend to tell you ‘you are wrong’ or anything of the sort. But I would ask that you ask yourself “That keeping the peace benefiting who exactly? You or them?” because IMO until they are made to experience the shunning/disassociation they so richly deserve by all of us, they will continue to do the voodoo they do and we are helping them to do it.
You might be right. I may actually wind up purging them from my life altogether.
Over the last decade or so, it's beyond mere differences of opinion between the left and right. It's to the point where by their actions - or lack thereof - they're causing tangible, real world harm to my family and my country.
I may not be able to abide by it for much longer.
Leftist fears are their own desires for us.
It’s that simple.
The Tea Party will use power to decimate the left?
America would be a far better place if that would come to pass.
“The man is a well-dressed psychopath commie and nothing else.”

I once saw an interview with Meg Whitman, where she said she met Van Jones on cruise to Alaska.
Her comment...”He is such a wonderful man”
Made me want to throw up.
Looking forward to decimation.
Decimation is only one in ten, we can do better
than that.
It’s definitely no easy thing to consider, much less do. In my case, I have the usual assortment of winners and I literally sat and thought “Just how much horseXXit are you willing to deal with?” In my case the answer was none. And for the reasons you stated. Not only were these people personally getting me frazzled with their idiocy, but they were totally against things I hold most important in my own life...and the then young life of my child.
I asked myself why I should assist in my own demise. And by association, that of my country, since I tend to believe in things like right and wrong, even if I’m not perfect.
The difference between me and them was that they had a more situational outlook on everything. “Good for me/not for thee” mindset that governed their actions/views. Nothing special, just standard lib crap. And of course, the burning desire to shovel that liberalism on everyone around them in whatever form it took at the moment.
Ultimately I reverted to my belief that family is made, not born and that one cannot be ‘friends’ with people who hate everything that makes you who you are. It makes no logical sense to participate in the development of one’s own misery. So I simply said FU and walked away. It’s been several years since I first did that. And I have not regretted it for a nanosecond since.
ummm...
Decimate us?
You mean like Planned Parenthood?
(originally conceived to limit the population growth of “undesirables”)
