AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

Also note: They’re upset the WH can’t get more worked up about it.

Just got home. Rush was talking about Measure 2 here in ND that would eliminate property taxes. It is losing in the polls but as I can imagine, all those who benefit from the power the taxes provide are campaigning to defeat the measure. They’re running ads to scare the citizens. I plan to vote for it. It means an extra $1300 per year in my pocket. People who vote against it are either morons or they have their hands in the cookie jar.

IMO, Rush is hitting this one a little thin. (Golf analogy there)

Obie and Dems are always pushing "infrastructure". They think the economic cycle is like "if we build it, they will come". They have it backwards. The things they want to put first should come at the end of the end of the economic cycle in response to an expanded tax base, a growing population, etc, etc. All things that are a result of private sector economic growth.

They’re upset the WH can’t get more worked up about it.

JMHO, considering the WI elections

...and the hip-height bonfire going under Holder's butt (aka F'nF)

...and the NEW bonfire just got started re "Green" jobs

...and the ROFLMAO every Thursday when anybody in the WH mentions "jobs" and/or "unemployment"

....

You just have to know that when you're bleeding from a thousand cuts, one more bite out of your butt doesn't really rate much notice.

LOL

I’m not sure of the color, but it is most certainly the most tender, sensitive and treasured item I’ve seen in a long time.

If I was working for somebody like that, I’d have a full-time ear to the ground for oncoming buses and a VERY hot trigger on the ejection seat. Plus a whole great big pile of extremely incriminating documentation for cover when I come down amongst the restless natives.

(Maybe that’s the real reason for The 0’s sudden attack of grey hair....just thinking about all of those GS-15’s running for cover.)

Obie and Dems are always pushing "infrastructure".

"Infrastructure" = more public jobs

Their main goal is to GROW the public sector at the behest of the private sector. This has really nothing to do with the economic health of our country. Just incremental steps toward the real goal of having all wealth and production controlled by Fed Gov. If EVERY job is a public sector job, Fed Gov can tell YOU what your lot in life is going to be......

How on earth do the public sector unions benefit by keeping property taxes intact?

Wait, I have it now. The public sector unions are HOPING that the feds shut down the oil drilling....

Oh, the Gummint employees are certain to have that attitude. More is always more for them, and shutting down the Oil Patch would just be whipped cream and a cherry on the deal.

I don't really know how I'd vote on it.

Maybe I'm just an old cynic, but if the counties and town don't have property taxes, just imagine the stuff they'll start taxing.....that doesn't have to get posted to every property owner (who is also a potentially irate taxpayer AND voter).

I do believe that I'd prefer to keep a nice tight grip on that dog's leash. Even if I do get billed for the privilege.

I see what you are saying, but personally I would LOVE to be able to actually OWN my property, instead of renting it from my city, county and state.
