Obama: Too busy to help Wisconsin Democrats in recall election

President Barack Obama explained in a radio interview Monday why he didn't do more to help Wisconsin Democrats in their battle to recall Republican Governor Scott Walker: He was too busy.

"The truth of the matter is that, as president of the United States, I've got a lot of responsibilities," he told WBAY of Green Bay, Wisconsin. WBAY was one of eight TV stations given an exclusive interview with the president — six from battleground states Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, Virginia and Wisconsin and two from California and South Carolina.

Obama said he was "supportive" of Walker's Democratic challenger, Tom Barrett, whom Walker thumped in last week's vote. "Obviously, I would have loved to see a different result," Obama told WBAY.

And the president said he would be working to ensure a different result in November.

"We're going to be fighting very hard in Wisconsin just like we have in the past," said Obama, who carried the state by 14 points in 2008 but saw Barrett lose there by seven points.

Yet he goes on more vacations than a travel agent and eats better than Diamond Jim Brady.

Oh my...that’s not going to go over well. Plenty of time for golf and star-studded fundraisers...but not for ones that brought him to the dance.

"The truth of the matter is that..."

Obama has a rather obvious 'tell' here.

When someone prefaces a statement with verbiage on the order of, "to tell the truth", you can be fairly certain that what will follow is anything but the truth.

Yeah, travel between all those fundraising stops really eats up time, even with a taxpayer-funded jet at your disposal.

“The truth of the matter is that, as president of the United States, I’ve got a lot of responsibilities,”

That’s pathetic!
Over the last three months how many fund raisers or rounds of golf or wasted trips to battleground states. (Ohio, Virginia and North Carolina come to mind)
Nobody is this stupid, I pray he keeps on digging, pretty soon the hole will be too deep for him to get out.

Likewise with his favorite filler, "Let me be clear."

To tell the truth, he knew that Waliker would win and his endorsement would be the kiss of death so he didn’t want to admit he is loser that would have been endorsing a loser.

Between everyday golf outings, dozens of campaign rallies, numerous vacations, celebrity parties, basketball games, you would think how does the guy even have time to be president?

Unions lost a lot of members after Walker made union membership voluntary. This election wasn’t just about having one of their guys in charge.

“Since the new Wisconsin law took effect, the state’s second largest union, the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, has lost nearly half of its members in the state, according to internal documents obtained by The Associated Press. The documents show that between March 2011 and February 2012, Wisconsin membership in AFSCME dropped from 63,577 to 34,942.”

I think Obama was advised to stay out of the fray.

Besides, I don’t think there are that many celebrities in Wisconsin who would hold fundraisers for his never-ending re-election campaign..

A great GOP SuperPac ad would be scenes of obama at fundraisers and playing golf with his voice repeating this quote over and over.

Hussein couldn’t deliver on one of America’s most historic elections. Even the impeached *Squirt gave it a try. That’s not too good.

0 has enough red flag tells to float a circus tent.

I have no doubt whatsoever that he stands in front of a mirror
(narcissists love mirrors, so any mirror anywhere will do)
and pronounces;
I am president of the United States.
I AM president of the United States.
I am PRESIDENT of the United States.
I am president of the UNITED States.
I am president of the United STATES.

Posting how many times he’s said this would exceed FR’s bandwidth.

When he sees his dirty face in the mirror he proceeds to wash the mirror. sabe?
