Obama Suing Florida - and Vice Versa - Over Voter Registration
Townhall.com ^ | June 11, 2012 | Kevin Glass

The state of Florida recently engaged in a campaign to fight voter fraud, combing through their voter rolls to weed out illegitimately-registered voters. While they've been accused of invalidating legal voters' registrations, the effort has been having some modicum of success.

[I]n the last few days, the Division of Elections released a list of the names of 86 voters it says have been removed by local supervisors because they were non-citizens between April 11 and June 8. About half of them are listed as having voted.

That, backers of the purge effort say, proves the need for the move, because it shows that some non-citizens have indeed registered and cast votes.

Florida Governor Rick Scott has been promoting his state's law as a necessary measure, especially absent the federal government's responsibility to combat voter fraud. But now, the Obama Administration is alleging that Florida is violating the Voting Rights Act and the National Voter Registration Act.

In an interview with Fox News on Monday, Scott also defended the initiative. He denied that the purge could unfairly target Latino residents, and he said he's just trying to fairly enforce the law.

"We need to have fair elections in our state. I want to make sure that when we have elections ... not one person's vote gets diluted by somebody that doesn't have the right to vote," Scott told Fox News. "We're doing the right thing. ... We have people that are voting illegally in our races -- that's not right."

As we had with Arizona and SB 1070, a red state is taking the responsibility on itself to enforce laws that the federal government is allegedly not enforcing - and the Obama Administration has responded in kind with another lawsuit.

Isn’t voter registration a local issue?

Only those who need those fradulent vote to win could possibly object to cleaning up the voter rolls.

The fact that they are crying is tacit admission of fraud.

No honest man could possibly want to protect those who would vote illegally.

Think about that.

"Popcorn is grown in 25 States. According to the Census, the top five major popcorn-producing States in were Nebraska (27%), Indiana (21 %), Illinois (13 %), Ohio (9 %), and Missouri (6 %). "

LOL.

Party of the first part: "We want honest elections!"
Party of the second part: "We don't!"

Who will win?

Florida should sue Obama and make him show a real birth certificate, with HIS foot print on it.
Strip the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT IN CHIEF off the voter ballot,
unless he shows a birth certificate that hasn't been proven to be a forgery!

I gave the letter the Sec. of State here in Fla. sent to Dept. of Homeland Security to my Democrat neighbors today to show them what a criminal organization the Democrats are wanting dead people and noncitizens to vote. They are already done with the Democrats for screwing the country with Obamacare and suing AZ over illegal immigrants. This will be the icing on the cake.

It’s clear that Obama & Company can’t win an honest election. This is an outrage, but there is an upside to it. It increases the odds that Obama will lose Florida this November.

The problem is DHS is withholding access to the SAVE database which evidently is the best database for identifying non-citizens. The DHS is obligated to make SAVE available to any state for any legal purpose.

That is what Florida is suing about.

Maintaining accurate voter rolls should be a relatively simple job with today’s technology. That anyone would oppose this, or that anyone would oppose voter ID, is tacit admission of dependence on fraud to win elections. Anyone who votes for Obama is an accomplice in the fraud.

Defend the right of legitimate voters. Purge the rolls.
I’ll stand behind Scott just the way I stood behind Gov. Walker.

Purging is the only way to make elections worth while again.
This has been going on tooooo long.

Go Rick Scott!
Go Ken Detzner!

GO FLORIDA! Let’s finish this nonsense.

We truly live in a bizarro word.

If we had a Media that wasn't an enemy against the People and the Republic, they'd be blaring headlines about the Administration working overtime to allow voter fraud. But, of course, the enemy and traitorous Media supports election fraud.

And yet my poor mother who has to have round the clock nursing care in a nursing home and because of that all of her money is gone, her home has to be sold, and I feel terribly guilty because I can’t pay her bill, has to provide so much documentation to apply for Medicaid to help pay for her care, it’s taken me months to collect. And my dad who passed away would be devastated he needed government help.

So I’m feeling depressed over my parents, money and chasing all of this documentation and then filling out the application I read “ if you are pregnant and/or illegal proof of citizenship and birth are not required”.

I’m so sick of this. No ID needed for Government (our) money, to vote, who knows what else? Because my parents did things the right way, to
the best of their abilities, they’re screwed. I miss my dad terribly but I’m glad he’s not around to see this.

Florida should announce a amnesty and give non-citizens until August 31 or whatever to come forward and remove themselves from the voter rolls. Then, they should start prosecuting those which have voted to the fullest extent of the law.

A few high profile cases now to indict illegal voters might make get a stampede of removals from the voter rolls. Every time Zer0's Just-Us Department turns up the heat on Florida, Florida should issue additional indictments for illegal voters.
