Because we're near the tipping point, and a good enough portion of the other side stands to gain from 4 more years of the welfare state, entitlements, or are in the well-paid public sector, or are just plain "takers" with nary a care as to what their kids and grand-kids inherit for a society, country, nation.

In reply to your post number 2, it’s because they don’t care and still hope that their dependency on government will be unaffected by the litany of horrors you recited.And in the case of blacks,they bloc vote based on race alone.
