The only scene I remember from that sick movie is the piano in the ocean. I thought the movie was bad.

Wrong movie! He is talking about "The Pianist" NOT "The Piano". The Pianist was based upon the true story of the Polish, Jewish pianist Wladyslaw Szpilman:

What took place in 1930's Poland can very well happen in 2012 Greece.

I didn’t like it at first, but continued watching. It blew me away. The message(s) is very subtle, but powerful.
I now own it. There are a lot of lessons to be learned from the messages in this movie.

Remember some of the scenes from ‘Schindlers List’ how about the scenes for ‘Band of Brothers’ episode ‘Why we Fight’, maye you saw ‘Hotel Rwanda’ or how about ‘The Killing Fields’? Do you think the sky fell on those people?

there's two different movies...."The Pianist" IRRC was about a Polish Jew pianist caught up in the Warsaw Rebellion...the other movie "The Piano" was set in some island somewhere....and I agree...it was not very good...
"The Pianist" however, was superb...
it started slowly the onslaught against the Jews...
