We’ve created a system that normalizes the concept of a negative income tax, and then we’re surprised when people take advantage of it.

Since illegal immigrants can't qualify for legitimate social security numbers, back in 1996 the U.S. Treasury introduced the Individual Tax Identification Number,

Hmmm. Clinton administration. The buying of illegal votes.

The Democrat Party: The party whose chief aim is the increase of social, moral, judicial, fiscal, and monetary entropy.

Unscrupulous tax preparers are filing fraudulent returns for illegals. One illegal claimed 20 relatives as dependents under a fake address and took the US government for a grand total of $29,000 (and that's just under a single identity).

Salazar Tax Services insists that every claim they file is above board. "I give you the option, like it's not correct, but if you want to claim it's up to you because you're the person in charge of your taxes because you're signing it," Salazar says.

Luis Salazar---and all his clients filing fraudulent returns----need to be nailed in connection with this scam.

Luis Salazar of Salazar Tax Services insists that every claim his firm files is above board. "I give you the option, like it's not correct, but if you want to claim it's up to you because you're the person in charge of your taxes because you're signing it," Salazar claims.

NOT SO FAST LUIS Every tax preparer is legally compelled to sign every IRS return, as well. If Salazar falsified the tax preparer's IRS entry---he is in legal hot water.

This article also fails to mention that most illegals maintain multiple identities----and that they probably filed false claims for EITC under each identity.

Just a couple of days ago, I learned from an IRS "Enrolled Agent" That if an illegal alien without an ITIN (or maybe even with one) who hijacks your Social Security number to do what they are inclined to do, it is up to you to unwrap yourself from around the government axle.

Why should they go after the criminal when you're a handier target? And easier to intimidate? I you don't take the initiative, there are penalties!

Reminds me of an old Ziggy cartoon. He's reading a letter from the IRS : "We cannot locate the return you have sent us. We have lost it.
If it is not found within 30 days, you are subject to $2000 fine and 5 years in jail..."

When it first appeared, many years ago, that cartoon was a joke.

One report found an undocumented worker claimed 20 relatives as dependents under a fake address and took the government for a grand total of $29,000.

A return filing MFJ with 20 dependents and an AGI of $129,000 will get a refund of $19,000. That's as good as it gets with 20 dependents.

It's legal, though.

I remember working with a guy here on a visa from Mexico, he was trying to become a U.S. citizen, great guy, I hope he became a citizen, he had a great heart! He was networked with a lot of friends and family due to common nationality and language. He would tell me how when he filed his taxes, they asked him if he had any kids, he said no, the tax guy asked him flat out if he wanted some. He told me how women would get pregnant by multiple men, so as to collect welfare. He had a friend in the border patrol tell him how they keep a lot of what they confiscate. He also said how drug dealers would pay people to steal there cars and transport the drugs between cities, then they would collect insurance money, or give the courier the car as payment. So much more, but there isn’t a problem, oh no, the Republicans and Democrats don’t give a damn about this country, they are in it for themselves and whom can network with so as to attain more wealth and power for their family and friends, I hope they choke on their material wealth, what good will it do them when they are dead! Sad, how the ones like my friend who avoided the schemes, worked hard on a visa, payed taxes only to end up struggling to become a citizen the legal way, I hope he is, those are the ones we need, and not the ones whom take advantage nor the politicians who don’t give a damn.
