Sources described as "previously highly credible" and "close to the Gunwalker investigation" are claiming "one and perhaps two sources within the Department of Justice headquarters...have approached the Issa Committee seeking whistleblower status," Mike Vanderboegh of Sipsey Street Irregulars blog is reporting this afternoon in an exclusive story.
"One source, who reported that there were at least two of Eric Holder's subordinates who 'came in from the cold,' characterized them as 'high-level" DOJ employees 'with knowledge of Eric Holder's actions before and after" the 4 February 2011 DOJ letter denying that the DOJ and its subordinate agencies knew about "gunwalking," Vanderboegh writes, noting one source said the whistleblowers bring with them "the keys to the kingdom."
Calling the development "surprising," Vanderboegh further notes it "has re-energized the investigation staff,which was widely rumored to be floundering after the reluctance, not to say opposition, of the GOP leadership became known some months ago."

If "this" doesn't come out before the contempt vote, those who vote against contempt when it does come out look like chumps and their opponents this Fall will have a club to beat them.

My money is on the new whistleblowers coming out AFTER the contempt vote if Issa has enough votes to get it anyway.

As Obama’s chances of re-election diminish, increasing numbers of people will want to protect themselves. They don’t want their names appearing on indictments when the new administration takes office.
I'll believe it when I see it.
The big question now is who throws who under the bus first? Does Holder toss Obama? or does he wait just a little too long and Obama tosses him?

Either you’re a whistle blower or you’re going to be under investigation yourself... Now’s the time to get on board the winning side.
It’s beyond question that Issa is the source for this article. I only hope that it’s not a play to suggest to Holder that he really should hand over the documents quickly so they don’t have to vote to charge him with contempt.
