The Obama administration announced Friday it will stop deporting illegal immigrants who come to the country at a young age.
The politically charged decision comes as Obama faces a tough reelection fight against Republican Mitt Romney, with Hispanic voters in swing states seen as a key bloc.
The change in policy could allow as many as 800,000 immigrants who came to the United States illegally not only to remain in the country without fear of being deported, but to work legally, according to a senior administration official speaking to reporters Friday.

Romney should fire back right away that we are a country of laws and that the POTUS cannot do whatever he wants just because he feels like it. The rule of law is dead now if this is allowed to stand. It must be stopped on the grounds of right and wrong, not a matter of political ideology but it can’t. The rules have been thrown out and too few would recognize that it is not a matter of who will or won’t allow this or thinks it is a nice thing or not. They would not understand or want to understand that it really is a matter of law that we all must live under for the greater good.
Our very sovereignty has been declared null and void today. We have become a nation without borders which is no nation at all.
I do not see how the Chief Justice can be quiet on this. If he is, his position means nothing does it? Without law there is no need for SCOTUS.
