Up to 200 police officers are expected to be taken off the crime-ridden streets of Chicago to provide security at the wedding of a senior White House adviser as President Barack Obama flies in to attend.
The First Family will jet into Chicago this evening as Valerie Jarretts daughter Laura Jarrett, a former Harvard Law student, prepares to wed fellow graduate Tony Balkissoon on Saturday. The wedding will take place in the backyard of the Jarrett family home in Kenwood, with some gatherings planned at the nearby Obama mansion.
Between 100 to 200 police officers will be drafted in to secure the perimeter of the Jarrett property, which is about a block and a half north of the President's home, Chicago Sun-Times columnist Michael Sneed reported.
Sneed reported that the city will not be reimbursed by the federal government for the extra security measures.

I'm not sure he was ever an Obama supporter.
He supported Ryan in '08 for IL Senate.
And the puerto rican festival is this weekend along with 90 degree weather - I’m sure it will be a 5 star weekend here.
Wouldn’t want to work a trauma center in that town this weekend!
I’ll have to check the secondcitycop website to see what really goes on. 90 degree heat forecasted, and things have been wild the past few weeks. That site is the only place where things get reported. The regular media is too busy swooning over O and First Lady Ru Paul.....
It would be neat if you did that, and reported the numbers back to this thread on Sunday evening.
I just copied and pasted and I’m not in charge of Laurie this week, so sorry—can’t help you.
I’m sure she has a fine sinecure set aside for her due to her mother’s connections—something high paying that requires little actual work or results in nothing productive, so I wouldn’t fret about her if I were you.
The rest of us—fair today, tomorrow partly cloudy. Next week, who knows?
So all I’m saying is that we should carpet-bomb the Ivy League while we still can.
