I confess. I am stunned and excited. Black family and friends who voted for Obama are saying they will not vote for Obama this time around.

Why? It's the "gay marriage-thing." Obama recently came out in support of gay marriage. Black folks simply cannot roll with it.

Someone who attends an all-black church told me their pastor said, "God destroyed cities because of homosexuality."

Though under-reported, Obama supporting gay-marriage has created a firestorm in the black Christian community. Black pastors are attempting to pressure the president to walk back his support of what they consider an abomination.

Black pastors are also offended by what they call the "hijacking" of the civil rights movement by the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community.

A relative said despite the great job Obama is doing with the economy, he cannot sell out his Christian values for economic prosperity. Thus, he cannot vote for a president who supports gay marriage.

I wanted to say, "Are you nuts? Obama is doing a horrific job regarding the economy." As a matter of fact, blacks are hardest hit. Black unemployment is at an unprecedented high under the Obama regime.

But I held my tongue for now. I hope to educate him later. He is a black man voting principle over racial loyalty, and that is priority one in my book.

Could gay marriage be Obama's Achilles heel? Or perhaps gay marriage is Obama's fatal weakness, his Kryptonite! I know what you are saying: OK, Lloyd, enough with the corny metaphors. Please forgive me. I am just so excited that finally an issue has broken Obama's vise-grip on the brains of my fellow black Americans...

Obama has offended blacks on a core belief level with this, which has given a lot of them a justifiable and socially acceptable reason to finally be overt about their intention to withhold their votes from him.

His economic tinkering has hurt blacks more than any other demographic in the country, and they're pissed as hell that they're worse of now, than they were under GWB. They trusted Obama to help them improve their economic lot in life, but he's done anything but.

When he came out in favor of gay 'marriage', that was the last straw for blacks who were on the fence about voting for him again.

I have worked in the black community most of my adult life and I find it particularly disengenous that they are raising a stink about another minority trying to get marital rights when unofficial number of black children born out of wedlock is above 70 percent.

I am had a similar encounter and just bit my lip as the lady told me that she thought Obama was trying to throw the election and he didn't want or like being president. She mentioned the homosexual marriage issues.

If this keeps a lot of black voters home based on principle, then good. If it gets them to vote for Mittens, then even better.

Most certainly will vote for Hussein the Usurper no matter what. But if he loses as little as ten percent of the black vote he will be dead meat in November. GOP really should mount a careful stay-home operation to minimize turnout. The black vote is discouraged and resentful of Hussein's indifference to them, and so would be vulnerable.

I don't think so. You want to see a black guy REALLY offended by another black guy? Ask him what he thinks of Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, or any other openly conservative black. As long as Obama remains a redistributionist, he can kill and devour a baby on live network TV and they will still vote for him.

Well, it goes without saying that most blacks are politically aligned to the left. They're conditioned to despise any conservative or Republican, but yes, many of them reserve a special degree of animosity for black conservatives. This we know.

My point is, Obama has lost a great deal of support across all demographics, but especially among blacks. I won't go into all of the reasons why again, but just remind you that blacks trusted and supported him more than any other Americans.

Consequently, their degree of loss and sense of betrayal is deeper than any other group on the left. Obama's endorsement of gay 'marriage' was the final straw for those people who were already feeling used and betrayed by him.
