CAIRO (AP) -- The Muslim Brotherhood declared early Monday that its candidate, Mohammed Morsi, won Egypt's presidential election, which would be the first victory of an Islamist as head of state in the stunning wave of protests demanding democracy that swept the Middle East the past year.
But the military handed itself the lion's share power over the new president, sharpening the possibility of confrontation.

Welcome to the Crusades II — coming to a theater near you soon.
At least the Egyptian military appears somewhat sane in resisting these moozlum destroyers.
Thanks a lot Obungo.
The Obama has figured out a way to stop terrorism from Al Qaeda, ally ourselves with them.
dang, now we gotta nuke Iran AND Egypt.
And which large public square in central Cairo will they set up for the beheadings of Coptic Christians for not embracing Islam, on Fridays, just after “prayers”? Tahwir Square? Why not?
About as strange as a Christian being elected in America.
OT, but this will make your day:
Christian protestors taunt Arab-Americans with pigs head on a stake at Detroit festival
Christian missionary groups crashed an Arab-American festival on Friday night armed with a pigs head on a stake and placards making bigoted remarks and promoting the hatred of Islam.
Tensions flared when the protesters, from an organisation called the Bible Believers, attended the annual Arab International Festival in Dearborn, Michigan, waving signs with slogans such as Islam is a religion of blood and murder and Muhammad is a liar, false prophet, murderer, child molesting pervert.
Another offensive placard read: Repent, be converted, that your sins may be blotted out and one missionary shouted Youre gonna burn in hell to a group of Arab-American boys, according to Detroit Free Press.
If this happened, which I doubt a bit, it is of the same ilk as the Westboro Baptists “protesting” at military funerals and just as offensive, IMHO.

Why would you doubt that this happened?
I guess it is pretty amazing that somebody finally got up the courage to protest these monsters who are flooding into America, refusing to intergrate, seek to impose their beliefs on us and threaten to behead us if we say anything against Islam!
Islam is directly responsible for the murder of 3,000 innocent Americans on 9/11
Since the inception of this 7th century ‘religion’, by a murdering, robbing pedophile, it has contributed nothing but death and distruction.
Whereever they ‘immigrate’ riots, death and distruction follow. The Koran teaches that all other religion must be destroyed and that Islam must rule the world.
DIRECTLY FROM THE KORAN:
SHARIA LAW MUST RULE THE WORLD
Allahs law (Sharia) is binding to all 4:135
Allah accepts only Sharia and no other laws 7:29, 57:25
Quran 9:33 ISLAM WILL PREVAIL OVER ALL RELIGIONS
THE FOUNDER OF CAIR HAS TOLD US PLAINLY OF ISLAM’S OBJECTIVE IN AMERICA:
“ISLAM ISN’T IN AMERICA TO BE EQUAL TO ANY OTHER FAITH, BUT TO BECOME DOMINANT. The Koran ... should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth. Everthing we need to know is in the Koran. We don’t need to look somewhere else.”
OMAR M. AHMAD, CHAIRMAN OF CAIR, the mainsteam Muslim advocacy group.
Every moderate Muslim is a potential terrorist. The belief in Islam is like a tank of gasoline. It looks innocuous, until it meets the fire. For a moderate Muslim to become a murderous jihadist, all it takes is a spark of faith.
Ali Sina
Radical Islam is an insane murder cult; moderate Islam is its Trojan Horse in the West.
Many countries are taken over already such as England and France. We are next unless we act.
God bless these people for having the courage to stand up against Islam!
A pigs head, really?
I have absolutely no love for radical Islam, which is, I think redundant. But there is no audience, Christian or non-Christian, where the type of protesting Christians were doing was appropriate, IMHO.
Radicals?
Like Mr. Sini says; all it takes is a spark of faith..
Appropriate?
It just tickled me to death that they got a taste of their own medicine.
