Something’s up at J.C. Penney.
After the closing bell, the department-store operator announced President Michael Francis was leaving, effective today, after only eight months on the job.
Shares dropped 6.5% in after-hours trading to $22.75 in after-hours trading. The stock is down nearly 50% since early February.

I wonder what James Cash Penney would say about all this?
I have a pretty good idea that he would not be pleased.
I know they lost two $50 - 75 sales due to me in the past few weeks.
In one case, I had my daughter take “JC Penney gift certificate” off of her birthday list. In another, I went to a boutique at the mall rather than JC Penney when in need of a bathing suit, and got jeans, too, so:
their loss.
The hockeysticks with them for insulting the fathers of this country on Father’s Day.

I haven’t seen one of those Ellen Degeneres ads in ages.
I have to admit they were very funny and (aside from what we know about Ellen) I saw nothing pro-gay in the ads.
Thank goodness I can’t afford to shop.

Because of their faggotry I have no desire whatsoever to go into a JC Penny, so I haven’t.
I was sad to read that the founder of JCPenney was the son of a pastor who founded the store to ensure that pastor’s widows were well cared for.
He’d probably be horrified at what it’s become. Pushing these adoptive homosexual “parents” at us as though they are equivalent to our fathers and grandparents.
I didn’t find the Ellen ads offensive, except for the knowledge that she is “out and proud.” However, my kids could watch that ad and not know anything about it.
However the “Father”’s Day and “Mother’”s day ads were very “in your face.”
I haven’t seen any evidence of this gay pandering in their ads.
Does anyone have a specific instance to report?

I guess I missed them. I don’t look at the Penney’s ads because there’s no Penney’s where I live.
And I almost never see tv ads because I tape everything and fast forward through the ads.
But ... I dunno. Surely there is some better reason that Penney’s is doing poorly.
I can’t believe people stopped shopping there because of some ads.
Maybe I’m wrong.
See #22 — from what I’ve read, it was their change to a no-sales strategy that really sunk them. From seeing the gay mom ad, it looks like Francis may have been responsible for that dismal plan.
Costco doesn’t sell tall sizes, nor do they sell colored T-shirts.
Problem is there really aren’t that many homosexuals.
