race because “Republican leaders questioned his
integrity”.
The Chicago machine destroyed Ryan by releasing
his sealed divorce proceedings. Every thing
associated with the Obama narrative is made up
of whole cloth.
Bingo.
...Also not mentioned is that IL had an excellent GOP Senator named Peter Fitzgerald. He beat the execrable Combiner Democrat Carol Moseley-Braun (”Mostly Fraud”, or she who liked dining with African dictators) in the general election after beating a Combiner (what you call the Chicago Machine) RINO in the primary who tried to destroy him for the general election.
The IL bipartisan Combine went to work on Fitzgerald and the GOP wing, spearheaded by their enforcer thug Ray LaHood, then a Congressman, essentially did everything possible to run Fitzgerald out of office so they could put their man in (party didn’t matter, just so long as it was a Combiner). Fitzgerald got sick of fighting two wars and retired. What did LaHood (AKA LaThug) get for his part in running out Fitzgerald ? Zero gave him, this “loyal Republican”, a prime Cabinet post, where he remains today.
