If we ended all govt spending on medical care, prices would plummet.

Not surprising. Wonder who will stand up to them.

Nobody in "leadership" positions in Congress.

This is it. This IS the solution. Allow PURE free market solutions. Costs drop overnight. Competition and the free market would correct it all. Of course, old folks and illegals everywhere would freak becuase they’d think you were pulling out the safety nets ...when in reality, you would be giving them back total control of their healthcare.

With total control, and total RESPONSIBILITY for your health, the problems of obesity, smoking, etc. would also self correct. People would KNOW where their dollars were being spent, and would suffer the consequences of not taking care of themselves.

To me, there would be ABSOLUTELY no need for Medicaid, for starters.

Ya want healthcare? WORK for it. Here’s a job, here an extremely low-cost health insurance plan ...now get out of my life!

Health care is NOT a right, it’s a responsibility — of the individual.

That was a good analysis that has some basis in reality.

It’s the old magician’s trick - keep ‘em watching this hand, not that one!

“I hope the Supreme Court strikes it down. I’m relatively poor, too, BTW.”

You might be broke, but you are most definitely not poor. Being a FReeper and making the point above proves it....

The mandate is not severable and the Supreme Court is not going to legislate from the bench in this case.

It’s going down 6-3 and don’t be surprised if the wise latina is I’m the majority.

Wonder who will stand up to them.

It won't be gutless John Roberts or nutty kennedy. They are clowns and incompetent as Americans.
