I never new what this stuff was when I was a child.
What a sick world we live in.

Metmom, I want to thank you for pinging the home school list to this article. As you said, this act is so over-the-top, that it deserves to be seen by every parent who is taking the responsibility, and making the great sacrifice to take control of their own children’s education.
My wife and I have been home schooling for over a decade because of the abuse, leftist indoctrination, and depravity that exists in the government schools. In our minds, nothing could be more important to us, than protecting our children from the defilement that goes on in those meat grinder institutions.
Thank you.
It is true that PP is evil. But they are not the only super evil ones working to destroy the lives and souls of people in this country and worldwide.
Abortion is horrifying. Wait ‘til we get a load of the euthanasia industry which will legally murder children under one year old, the handicapped and elderly. They will be pushing murder of the handicapped and old like they push abortion. Murder is a big part of the funding plans for Obamacare and for reducing the population in accordance with ideology of the global warmists.
You’re welcome.
Go figure. A bunch of parents went to the school board meeting in little old Salem, OR and got PP thrown out of the schools.
Folks, if it can happen in Oregon, it can happen with your schoo board too.
Action is always needed.
Re: “Class Presentation To Parents First”
Yes.
An excellent suggestion.
“I think we should all get busy at the local level and attend PTA meetings for the purpose of pushing them to adopt a policy that says before any sex ed classes can be delivered to children, the teacher assigned the project must give the presentation to the parents.”
Nothing personal, but do you really think that the parents in Onalaska, WA, were really out to lunch? Of course they were involved. Most likely they ‘knew everything’ about their precious local schools. They knew the teachers, probably even went to church with some of them. The parents went to PTAs conferences, did everything they were asked (I assume).
But none of that mattered. The parents never REALLY KNEW the teachers and administrators. They didn’t know where they came from, what they did in college (screwed around, drugs, abortions, etc.). No, the parents only got to know the part of the teachers that the teachers were willing to share with them...and today’s teachers know very well what to keep tucked away.
The bottom-line question is why do parents trust people that really are practically strangers answering to masters who come from the Seattle machine (in this case) to be the primary educators of their kids?
And then why are parents surprised and upset when these people take advantage of their opportunities?
In case you didn’t see this, another story for you that doesn’t surprise either of us, but still surprises 80% of the FReepers out there. See my post just above, also.
Indeed, there are probably teachers and even parents out there who hate [Christian] morality that they would vindictively adopt this policy to shove it in the faces of those “uptight” parents who are “judgemental”.

Probably the VAST MAJORITY of them. Probably even a majority of teachers in ‘safe towns’, like Onalaska, WA, given the system that produces teachers in our schools (i.e., I bet even half of those teachers went to University of Washington - near downtown Seattle, for those of you in Rio Linda).
But these are the same teachers that are TOTALLY SWEET when you meet them, with a great big smile, explaining to you that they only want what’s best for the “whole child”. The same teachers that are told to never send home junior’s math curriculum...since they know how parents react when they see it.
My daughter just finished her 5th grade health unit. We parents had the option to come in and preview it before it started so we could opt our kids out if we wanted to. I chose not to. It was very scientific and clinical. More emphasis on proper biological terminology than anything else (and wear deodorant and some basic hygiene).
There was very little trauma ... the same kids that freaked out with the squid dissection last year had problems this year ... they, unlike my daughter, have no intentions or likelihoods of becoming doctors!
Even in WA, there are still some decent public schools.
But, I think mandating that teachers present lecture materials to parents firs would serve two purposes:
1.) It would (I think) embarrass and intimidate them to have to tell mature adults what they are going to say to unknowing and unprepared children and...
2.) Maybe, just maybe if they present a watered down version to the parents and then deviate, they could be fired and branded forever. Hopefully, never to be allowed in a classroom again.
YOU are the problem, if you are still sending your kids to these communist indoctrination centers.
yes but there were no demonstrations so it’s all okay.
How did “giving blowjobs” get to the top of the list of things you need to learn to be a good mother?
I guess the notion is
a) Give bjs instead of sex so you don’t get pregnant
b) Learn how to be homosexual so you don’t get pregnant.
The goal isn’t to be a good mother. It’s to not be a parent. Planned parenthood=planned infertility.
Shouldn’t they call it Plannned Nonparenthood?
Of course. Planned Parenthood makes way more sense, because
WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.
