When BATF agents first blew the whistle on what is now known as Operation Fast and Furious, the rationale offered by DoJ for such an evidently foolish operation was that it was designed to allow BATF to track and prosecute the leaders of the Mexican drug cartels. As more information surfaced from the Mexican government and the BATF's Mexican bureau chief specifying that none of them knew anything of this operation, many of us who were paying a bit closer attention to the case immediately smelled the first foul scent of corruption. The fatal flaw in DoJ's explanation was this: if the Mexican authorities had not been brought into the operation, nor even the BATF's own agents authorized to operate in Mexico, then the proffered DoJ justification made utterly no sense, for the simple reason that once those walked guns hit the south side of that border, there was absolutely no process in place to track them to their supposed targets. Therefore, DoJ was patently misrepresenting its motive. Why?

Good piece. One way to enslave a people is not by force but through deceit. The regime knows. We’ve been fortunate, I think, that they are so incompetent to this point. Absent a compliant media apparatus they’d already be political toast. Still, I’m struck how the avg Joe is oblivious to this story and thew rest of Zero’s lawless maneuvering during his reign.

Great article! Thanks for posting. I’m going to employ Occam’s Razor here, and presume that the most likely scenario is the correct one.
Since the Mexican government had not been apprised of the situation, and, as I recall, there were no tracking devices hidden in the weapons, the idea that the purpose of Fast and Furious was to locate cartels just falls apart.
Obama, like most true believers, is in favor of as much gun control as he can foist on the populace. What better way to promote that liberal philosophy than by showing that the weapons being used by drug gangs on both sides of the border originated in the United States?
Brian Terry’s death was not in vain.
He saved thousands certainly, perhaps millions, and it’s possible he saved the Republic itself.

The Gun Walker - Fast and Furious program was started to set the stage for a permanent “assault weapons ban” and registration of all “assault weapons” now in private hands (just like machine guns are registered and taxed).
Obama was going to bypass congress and do it with EO.
The plan was to flood Mexico with guns originating in commercial gun channels in the US and show how they ended up in criminal’s hands both here and in Mexico. But as everything else this administration tries to do, they royally screwed it up and it spun out of control.

Back in the 1300 or 1400s the French Nobles armed the serfs for a war against the English. The Nobles then complained that their serf soldiers were not willing to give up their arms and again become serfs.
One, that it was part of a plot by Obama and his cronies against gun ownership.
Two, that the Mexican drug cartels were blackmailing Obama into supplying them with the weapons. In that case the question becomes, what did they have on him to be able to blackmail him?
The facts that he's a communist moslem illegal-alien packer, and his name isn't Barak Obama?
But how would the cartel have proof of him being a Communist Moslem illegal alien? I think Barry would have shrugged that off and counted on the media to cover it up.
Oh, aside from the American people (thanks to the RATagandist "media") everybody in the whole world already knows.
