Their untitled fourth album, which features the track "Stairway to Heaven", is among the most popular and influential works in rock music, and it cemented the status of the group as "superstars".

Led Zeppelin disbanded following Bonham's sudden death in 1980.

Awards

Throughout their career, Led Zeppelin have collected many honours and awards.
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995,
The UK Music Hall of Fame in 2006.
American Music Award in 2005, and the Polar Music Prize in 2006.
A Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2005,
and four of their recordings have been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.
They have been awarded five Diamond albums, as well as
fourteen Multi-Platinum, four Platinum and one Gold album in the United States,
Five Multi-Platinum, six Platinum, one Gold and four Silver albums in the UK.

When Not To Witness

Here in New England where I live, baseball is a near-religious pursuit. Even if it were against the law to talk about the Boston Red Sox while at work, the fans couldn’t stop—they love their team that much.

That raises a question in my mind for Christians: Are there times when a Christian shouldn’t talk about God? I think so. In the face of insincere challenges to our faith, silence may often be the best response. In the hostile situation of Jesus’ exchange with Caiaphas, He chose silence at first (Matt. 26:63). He understood that Caiaphas wasn’t interested in the truth (v.59). While we don’t always know another’s heart, we must be sensitive to the leading of the Spirit in every situation that we “may know how [we] ought to answer each one” (Col. 4:6).

Also, if an answer to a question will move the discussion down a rabbit trail and away from Christ, we might want to stop the conversation and pick it up another day.

Are there other times when silence may be best? If talking about faith distracts us or co-workers from performing our job, we should stay focused on our work. Or if someone has shown a continual resistance, we might choose to stop pressing them. Remember, we can be a witness of God’s grace with our conduct as well (1 Peter 3:1-2).

Dear Lord, we want to be a testimony for You.
Give us wisdom to know when to speak or not speak,
and what to say or not say. Thank You, Holy Spirit,
for Your direction today.

Silence can be one tool in evangelism.

I’m home!! It’s hot!!!!! Turning fans on.....

My red shirt is hanging on the doorknob...ready for morning.

A short day for me...I have a roofer coming to check out the attic insulation, any insulation that should be on the vents, see where the water is getting into the sun tunnel, etc, etc. Then I call a guy, at 8am, who was recommended to maybe redo the front stairs to the porch....they are in horrible shape. I’m hoping he can come, too, as I will already be home.

The handyman is coming Monday to disconnect the old dishwasher and get it out onto the deck. The new will be delivered Wednesday and be installed whenever our inspector can do it, between jobs he is already on.

We got close to the century mark here today. Down in the mid 80's now. Glad our A/C works - I don't do tropical temps well. I noticed on my phone that you were having rather high temps this afternoon. You were only a few degrees lower than Nairobi. :)

Elmendorf is at the north end of Anchorage; Eielson is pretty close to Fairbanks, "the interior".

At 1920 it is in the 70s here.....HOT!!!

Must retire – the 0500 0430 Reveille approaches relentlessly. Our Taskmasters vex us with an ever-increasing burden of work. They have sequestered us in a remote chamber known only as “The Land of the Lost”, which bears a banner over the lintel stating:

They stand and mutely watch over us as we toil hour upon hour without respite.
