New law requires physicians to have hospital admitting privileges
JACKSON -- Abortion will still be legal in Mississippi next month. It's just that women who live there probably won't be able to get one.
Beginning July 1, all abortion-clinic physicians must have admitting privileges at a local hospital under a law passed by the Republican-led Legislature and signed by Republican Gov. Phil Bryant in April. At the Jackson Women's Health Organization, the state's sole remaining clinic providing elective abortions, none of the three physicians who perform the procedure has been granted those privileges.
Mississippi may become the first state without a dedicated abortion clinic if the Jackson facility fails to come into compliance.

Mississippi once had as many as 14 abortion clinics.
I suggest other states follow in Mississippi’s steps. This is a very smart way to shut down a clinic while keeping it ‘legal’.

I think statists like Sanger meant for abortion to make up for the moral shortcomings of a secularist society. I mean when I was 18 in '73 I was all in on total license no accountability. But after 35-50 million abortions over a 40 year range the results in. Epic Fail!!!! Morality cannot be replaced.

...Mississippi was the second noble and honorable nation (following my beloved and Holy SC of course) to declare independence from proto-Obama Yankee tyranny (yes nation-back then we were THESE United States—sovereign bodies in an alliance constitutionally binding as long as the federal entity followed the dictates of the document—which it didn't) so that makes them NEXT to the best! Which is pretty dang good.
Good riddance to abortion in MS. Other states should follow their lead. I lke to see Colorado where I live eliminate it as well. The problem are the libs in the population centers from Denver to Boulder.
Practicing on demand abortionists are, in the (unreported, natch) opinion of the medical community, apostates to the Hippocratic Oath and are considered misanthropic outcasts by those who do therapy and surgery in the cause of life.

Actually, the law won't cause abortion providers to be treated any differently than any other doctor with regards to hospital privileges. This is simply correcting an anomaly created by the pro-abortion forces when the clinics were opened.
MOST clinics don't have a doctor on staff all the time. Many abortionists will fly into a city from out of town, or even out of state, and do abortions for only one day. Not surprising they wouldn't have hospital privileges. But for the safety of the woman, the doctor SHOULD be able to admit to a hospital, in case of a dire emergency. What else are they gonna do, drop her in the parking lot and blow the car horn?
