I suspect the REASON WHY they did it, and made a video of it, was to provoke her into hitting one of them. That way, there would have been a big pay day when their parents sued the school.

It is using Mr. or Mrs. and the first name. More familiar than the formal method, but still sticking to the polite form.

Re “manners”: this is not a matter of mere conventions of etiquette like don’t pick up your soup bowl to drink from it. It’s the difference between showing hate and love to your fellow man. There’s no culture on earth where this conduct would have been viewed as other than hateful.
