Maroon Rafique missed an important talk concerning her son's university education because she would not remove the niqab

A mother was turned away from a parents’ evening because she was wearing a full-face veil.

Maroon Rafique, 40, was told that for the security and safety of children and teachers at the college there was a ban on any type of face coverings.

She was warned that unless she removed her full-face covering, known as the niqab, she would not be allowed into the college to attend.

In the end, a stunned Mrs Rafique was forced to call her husband, who took her place and went with their son Awais, 18.

Mrs Rafique, who has worn the niqab for seven years, said: ‘I’m born in this country and British. Why should what I wear offend anyone? I didn’t want to make any fuss. All I wanted was to find out the information to help my son go to university.

;I offered to sit at the back or  at the front, anywhere where I wouldn’t be seen, if they thought I was going to offend anyone....

Mrs Rafique, of Whalley Range, Manchester, had been invited to attend the parents evening and talk about her son's education at The Manchester College.

But when the mother of two arrived she was apprehended by security staff in the lobby of the college’s Northenden campus.

Mrs Rafique, who is married to double-glazing firm boss Abdul, 40, and has a younger son, Ibrahim, 12, said she felt humiliated.

She added: I do get abuse every now and again in the street, which I just have to deal with. However, I was very surprised when I was treated this way by the college.

We’ve never, ever been told about any rule about what parents can wear.

Well, there you go .... ten minutes at the university and you're already getting smarter.

They’re such proud people, that’s why they throw a bag over their wife’s head every chance they get.

How do we know she's forty? Is she allowed to disclose her age? And that she should be allowed to expose those eyes and hands. How un-islamic.

One would think her husband would be horse-whipped at the mosque for even allowing his wife to undertake anything related to the education of his progeny.

Though she just needs to bide her time. Soon sharia will replace British society altogether, and some scraggly faced imam will see to that she gets hers. And that he gets his.

When they go to a restaurant, do they make her sit at a different table? Nah, the wife probably gets to sit at the same table so that he can hit her with a hickory stick every time she violates islamic custom. And she probably only gets water and sugar packets.

Lets be honest! The niqab is BSDM fetish sex wear! Its no different than those wacky pervs walking around in latex body suits with dog collars on. It removes a woman's identity, reduces her to being an object, and is a freaky badge of her obedience and submission. Moslem fetish sex wear has no place in public.

However, it seems these women most times take great pains to shadow and line their eyes with black kohl, smear on gobs of mascara, and paint their brows in a most alluring way.”””

All I see is a bunch of 2 legged raccoons.

Could you imagine reporting a female crime? The cops would just walk out the door and arrest the first hood they found. ;-)
