A Virginia judge Wednesday formally sentenced Lee Boyd Malvo to life in prison without parole for his role in the October 2002 Washington-area sniper killings.

Paint a target on his gay behind.
Bet on it!
Easy fix. Re-sentence with death penalty.
Little known fact about Master Malvo. He is an illegal alien, once picked up in Bellingham WA by border patrol, but not deported by the immigration courts.
A thirty year income source for a legal firm.
Nothing happens. The SC said that those sentences could not be mandatory,
That’s all.
No, they’ll just have to resentence him or commute the sentence to something else.
It is amazing how one of the most public, sustained, and nationally terryfing terrorist attacks in American history can be basically erased from memory by the media simply never mentioning it, never referring to to it, never working it into related stories.
If those two had done a single dramatic act at an abortion clinic or at OWS demonstrators or some other act that would make it useful to the left to keep them and their memory front and center, then they would be mentioned hundreds of times a year, we would still be seeing analysis of what drives them and drove them to commit the crimes and so on.
yeah, just sentence the guy to serve a minimum of 60 years and a maximun of 99 years....
All they had to do was be white. As it is, they don't fit the narrative.
If Obama had a sniper son he would have looked just like Lee Boyd Malvo.
The ruling says that a law that provides for mandatory life without parole cannot be applied to someone who was a minor when he committed the murder. That means that, at least going forward, such murderers could face life without parole only if the sentencing judge had discretion. I assume that someone already sentenced to mandatory life without parole could ask for new sentencing in which life without parole was still on the table, but was not the only (non-death penalty) option for the sentencing judge. Hopefully Malvo won’t be able to get a bleeding-heart-liberal judge to resentence him.
How about assigning him to a cell with a 300 pound bunk muffin built like a linebacker to keep him company?
Won't happen. Too much liability. Too many opportunities for legal firms to secure long term revenue inflows. Malvo will be isolated from the general prison population if that is deemed advisable. Only Malvo's legal firm gets to cash in.
He’ll probably be pardoned by Obama if he loses the election and actually steps down with a constitutional crisis.
I meant *WITHOUT* a constitutional crisis.
Looks like Sotomayor just sprung him.
How about ‘Life minus one day’.
