Coming off its least-watched month in primetime in 20 years in May, CNN has taken another big ratings blow: The cable news network has its lowest-rated quarter in primetime since 1991. For this years second quarter, CNN hit a low among total viewers and the key adults 25-54 demographic, with all primetime programs posting steep declines. The network averaged 446,000 total viewers and 129,000 in the 25-54 demo in primetime. Compared to last years second quarter, thats down 35% and 41%, respectively. Rival Fox New Channel, meanwhile, with 1.79 million primetime total viewers on average, was down 1% from its 2011 second-quarter numbers. FNC lost 14% in the 25-54, bringing in 355,000 viewers. MSNBC was down 13% in total primetime viewers, with 689,000 on average, and down 17% in the 25-54 with 217,000.
Individually, CNN shows hemorrhaged viewers heavily compared with last year. Wolf Blitzers The Situation Room, which airs from 4-6 PM ET, was down 42% in 25-54 and 26% in total viewers. His show is expanding to three hours beginning Friday, taking over CNNs recently cancelled John King U.S.A. At 7 PM, Erin Burnett OutFront, which debuted in October replacing a then-moving John King U.S.A., was down 45% in 25-54 from last years second quarter and down 33% in total viewers. Piers Morgan Tonight, which replaced Larry King Live in January 2011, was down 33% in the 25-54 and 29% in total viewers. Pulling double duty, Anderson Cooper took a double hit: Anderson Cooper 360 at 8 PM was down 23% in the 25-54 and 19% in total viewers, and its 10 PM airing was down 48% in the demo and 44% in viewers. The top-rated cable news shows were all FNC shows, with The OReilly Factor and Hannity sitting at No. 1 and No. 2.

I don’t understand why these networks won’t go after a more conservative audience.
On cable, that is what definately works if you look at evidence.
I bet it would work on network tv news and television shows too.
It seems blatantly obvious, yet the networks refuse to change and continue to drive their networks off a cliff.
Don’t they want to make money?
CNN - all the news insecure liberals need to hear...
You've got it! More, more, more stories about how wonderful and smart the Obamas are - and ALL democrats... every last one of 'em - totally brilliant...
I still think MesSNBC is the worst of the bunch. When all four of their viewers get batteries for their remotes it will be the end of the line for the biggest joke on television.
good news
Meanwhile, on Fox, if anyone was in any doubt that Shep Smith bats for the other team, check this out:

It’s always on at the VA Hospital I go to.
Maybe they should stop putting on queers, retards, and stupid boring limey bastards on in Prime Time.
Hey, it is just an order of magnitude error. (24.92 would work too)
The nation is screaming for more Piers Morgan. What are they waiting for?
They cannot get the right look for Erin. One minute she looks too earthy and the next she too made up
To me she’s snotty looking and behaving, no matter how she’s made up — can’t do a balanced report to save her life.

I don't even know what the channel numbers are on my cable box for CNN, CNN's 'Headline News', CNBC, or that pMSNBC place so I don't know who any of the anchors are. Except for that gay Anderson Cooper wuss, or Wolf Blitzer. And that's just due to name nonrecognition.
So I had no idea of who this Erin person was and had to 'Bing Her'. What I found was that on her first day at CNN, after jumping from CNBC, she did a pretty good job of mocking the Occupy Moonbats in NYC with an On Air Video she shot earlier at the Occupy Wall Street site. (maybe there is hope for her?)
FWIW Erin Burnett does look pretty hot IMO as I also found pics of her from a cover shoot for Maxim magazine. She's definitely 'Not Guilty' ;-)
Look at this picture, she has a large throat

Yeah her trachea (throat) does seem to protrude a bit but there's no 'Adam's Apple' so she's definitely a 'she'. Plus I'd be mostly looking into her eyes. They are really pretty. (not exactly Liz Taylor knockout gorgeous eyes, but pretty none the less)
And for (cough) 'other situations', that's why God made Light Switches ;-)
[Unfortunately, Fox is going down the same road with hiring lots of extra lefty mouth-pieces. Aside from catching a few minutes of Fox & Friends during breakfast, I hardly watch them at all.]
Actually, The Five is a pretty good show even with Beckel. Greg Gutfeld is almost worth watching all by himself and with the gorgeous Andrea Tantaros how can you go wrong?
If they keep only a quarter of their staff and change their name to QNN (Quisling News Network), and also allow community access segments, their ratings would still be too high for me.
I LOVE Greg Gutfeld. I’ve watched The Five, but I’m a Beck subscriber, so I usually watch him instead. Sometimes I go to Hulu & watch old episodes of Red Eye. At least there’s no Beckel on that show!
