I am talking about the timing of this ruling and its actual effect. Look at the date events. Look who wrote it. This is a tax on dhimmis and infidels... That it is under the health care umbrella hides all the other impacts...agencies, green crap 4 health, halal food, etc.

It’s going hand in hand with passage on Christmas Eve.

AQ at 1600 PA Av (get it?) is pleased.

“If they passed the bill in its’ entirety through reconciliation, they can repeal the in its’ entirety through reconciliation.

It just requires sufficient testicular fortitude of at least 51 senators.”

They didn’t pass the bill in its entirety through reconciliation. The House approved the Senate version of the bill (the one that didn’t ban public funds for abortion that passed back when the RATs had 60 Senators). What was approved through reconciliation was a separate bill that tweaked some things (it did not include any anti-abortion language; those idiotic “pro-life” Democrats fell in line because Obama issued an executive order or something on abortion that he quickly went back on through Sebelius’s regulations).

“if the individual mandate is now law and everyone must buy health insurance, why the provision that those up to the age of 26 can remain on their parents insurance? Won’t they have to buy their own now?”

No. Some bureaucrat will issue a regulation that the law should be interpreted that the parents (most likely richer than their young kids, therefore evil) are mandated to purchase the insurance for the kids. In other words the “can remain” will be changed to “must remain”.

Yep, you’re right. Thanks for the correction. I guess we should all be brushing up on our Arabic.

نعم

Note: That's "yes"

Interesting for those beating up on Roberts -

"Also discussing the courtroom as the decision was handed down: Jeff Toobin tweets, "Roberts was red-eyed and unhappy as he read."

You can tell them whatever you please, they don't give a damn. They will continue to do as they please.

The only silver lining to an otherwise black cloud isthat the American fool, a/k/a American voter is finally going to get what they voted for. That it will end up costing them their lives is besides the point. Stupid people do not survive long in the jungle. Be it nature's jungle or the political jungle.

As for us, until we reach the point it is better to die on our feet fighting than to live trembleing on our knees, expect more of the same. And last but not least, anyone who expects Romney to abolish obamacare is barking up the wrong tree.

ROBERTS CONFIRMATION HEARING
SEPTEMBER 13, 2005

Senator CHARLES GRASSLEY (R – Iowa): History has provided many examples of the dangers of government by the judiciary, such as the courts decision in Dred Scott. Do you share President Lincoln’s concerns and I’m going to quote here from his first Inaugural. Quote, ‘if the policy of the government upon vital questions affecting the whole people is to be irrevocably fixed by the decisions of the Supreme Court, the instant they made in ordinary litigation, the people will have ceased to be their own rulers.’

Judge JOHN ROBERTS: Well, President Lincoln, of course, was referring to one of the, perhaps the most, egregious examples of judicial activism in our history, the Dred Scott case. In which the court went far beyond what was necessary to decide the case, and really I think historians would say that the Supreme Court tried to put itself in the position of resolving the dispute about the extension of slavery and resolving it in a particular way that it thought was best for the nation. And we saw what disastrous consequences flowed from that.

ROBERTS OBAMACARE DECISION
JUNE 28, 2012

First, and most importantly, it is abundantly clear the Constitution does not guarantee that individuals may avoid taxation through inactivity. The Federal Government does have the power to impose a tax on those without health insurance.

Don’t let the tinfoilers, the Nattery Naybobs, and the nutters who think Roberts is being blackmailed, or is paid by Soros, get to you.

Now that the ruling's come out, I think you owe tinfoilers at the least an apology.

I wonder if the Obamacare provisions are limited to the US and its possessions and territories like Medicare? If so, there is the option of becoming an expat to get out from under the heal of the oppressor.

Coward. IF he was threatened, how many of our soldiers have thrown themselves on grenades to protect our country, fully understanding the cost? I have no sympathy for ANY discomfort this individual may be feeling.

I hope he feels guilt for the rest of his time on the bench.

“It’s a matter of getting enough of the public behind it to put pressure on enough of the softer Democrats to peel them off to our side. I think the right kind of anti-tax amendment would be as popular as the anti-gay marriage legislation is in the vast majority of the states.”

Do you live in a conservative state and not realize how many liberals and apolitical people other states have? Do you read polling data?

Anti-gay marriage legislation passes in conservative states and in liberal states where legislation can be passed by the people via ballot initiative. But there will be no anti-gay marriage Constitutional amendment or anti-tax amendment. Conservatives who care enough about these issues to put pressure on politicians are only about 1/3 of the population. That’s not enough to get a Constitutional amendment through a rigorous process that needs nearly unanimous consensus. Sadly, too few people care. I hope you’re right and I’m wrong, but I seriously doubt it.

Is there only one side to your coin? You make a post accusing people who would vote against little barry by voting for Rominy as not ‘real Chrsitians’ ... yes, that is the meta communication you tried to float. Now you want to demand someone usign the same strategy in reverse halt in their tracks? ... The word hypocritical comes to mind immediately!
