Most of us here are conservatives, and a handfull are just tribalists interested in some identity agenda. This thread was a reasonable, useful, even important thread for discussion by conservatives of all stripes, but it seems to have been hijacked in an effort to stop the discussion and analysis of the left.
They were some sort of cartoon on the front.

Well not frequenting hate groups I knew that my exposure to that sentiment was from a very limited pool of sources - and HUMOR had to the intent.
I wonder where ansel12 gets his “facts”, where he was exposed to this sentiment - because I doubt it was from the Blues Brothers.

I don’t know what your distraction is with pop music and comedy, but the relationship between Jewish liberals and black activism has been a long time prominent subject of discussion and analysis as posts 47 and 55 indicate.
During the 1960s and 1970s the connection was especially conspicuous and undeniable, and no one tried to deny it, they discussed it openly.
You may be too young to realize that before the liberal media realized how it sounded patronizing, Jewish intellectual leadership was a fundamental element of the black Civil Rights movement and black activism.
How does a conservative not know this stuff? How does a conservative fight to defend the left, protect the left, hide the left?

Civil rights are not leftist aims. Civil rights were advanced by Republicans as well, and opposed by Democrats. Were Republicans using Blacks as “muscle” to advance their aims of civil rights?
What example do you have of black “muscle” being used to advance Jewish leftist aims within the last 20 years, and from what sources?

Today yes I think Messianic Jews may be the most ardent...that would make sense to them and frankly while some Jews may find it obnoxious it hardly rises to a threatening level.
We all deal with sects trying to convert us from Jehovah Witness to Mormons ...
many evangelicals today have become Jewish fascinated but not as converts so much as special folks ...it's a bit odd to me.
when I grew up we as church folks viewed Jews as folks given the word first and yes chosen by God to receive it and ultimately had rejected it and suffered for that...and we viewed them as cultural cousins...but I grew up before the progressivism of today had taken hold like now
I myself never figured I knew precisely what God in store for them...nor pretend to. I would like to think they will not be punished for eternity...but it's not my call.
I realize most of them reject that sort of consequential thinking anyhow and view it as dangerous mythology which btw brings back to why so many recoil against most literal forms of Christianity....they fear it....and not without good reason
and they simply don't have the same view of what life on earth means or values...it's more transitory and a test for us than for them

I think aside from simply enforcing the right of everyone legal to vote access to voting that they are the culprit that started the machine that is now devouring us.
All that crap fueled the legal mechanisms and the culture that has led to where we are now.
Far worse off than then.
And the very folks we were purporting to help have from a general cultural standpoint collapsed and that collapse has spread and permeated America.

You also need to know that “Civil Rights’ and race have been the primary, the most important tool of the left for more than 60 years. Civil Rights was far more than what the public first thought it was, it became a weapon.
You have to see how the leadership of the left first hijacked the black vote in the 1930s, we have never seen anything like it, blacks were solid republicans and then they INSTANTLY became permanent foot soldiers of the lefts intelligentsia, and then race was used as the 20 pound mallet to drive everything for the left. As a conservative you should know that the Jewish left and the 12% of the black population have been working hand in hand for generations and as a conservative you should know that it is about a lot more than "equality".

This influence never ended, it preceded these events and continues after them, Civil Rights keep getting mentioned because it is a positive way to say it, but as a conservative you recognize that the left has a mysterious yet deep hold over the black vote.
As a conservative, do you really attribute such nobility, or racial superiority, or religious superiority to the radical Jewish left, that it explains them becoming the intellectual/financial elites for blacks exactly at the time that blacks reversed their history and switched to becoming a Jewish like voting block, and a street power, city controlling power for the left?

Civil rights are not a leftist aim - unless the Democrats used to be right wing and the Republicans used to be a bunch of leftists.
I fully support the Civil Rights Act of 1960 - as signed into law by Republican President Eisenhower and as passed with mostly Republican votes in the Congress; except for the continued existence of the Civil Rights Commission.
What about the act do you think led to “where we are now” in terms of the law and culture. Be specific.
So if Blacks continued voting Republican it would all be good?

It is amazing to see that conservatism gets tossed out the window on some threads, some of these posters instantly jumped in as democrat posters trying to protect and remove from conservative analysis the liberals and liberalism under discussion.
The only “sources” I have used here are PBS, and American Thinker, you used Hollywood.
Your sole role in this thread is as liberal and bigot, the conservative perspective of the topic doesn’t interest you at all.
I can understand your frustration with the relatively small number of Jews who vote Republican, because voting for 'Rats by anyone hurts the conservative movement in general. Even accepting your 20% number (which, of course, varies depending on the election and is usually underestimatated due to flaws in polling techniques by pro-'Rat pollsters), you will be surprised that come November that number will just about double in the presidential election, even granted that Romney is far from a true conservative.
Romney being a "true conservative" would hurt his share of the Jewish vote, not increase it.
Amusing that the issue that has you up in arms is civil rights.
