Holder emails: We 'need answers' on Fast and Furious

"We need answers on this. Not defensive BS. Real answers."

In email exchanges with subordinates in February and March 2011, Attorney General Eric Holder and the department's second-highest official expressed growing concern that something might have gone wrong in a federal gun-smuggling probe called Operation Fast and Furious.

Two of Holder's emails and one by Deputy Attorney General James Cole were among documents the Justice Department showed Tuesday to Republican and Democratic staffers of the House Oversight and Government Affairs Committee in an effort to ward off a criminal contempt vote against the attorney general.

The full contents of the emails were described to The Associated Press by two people who have seen them. Both people spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak about them publicly.

For the past year and a half, some Republicans have promoted the idea that Holder and other top-level officials at the Justice Department knew federal agents in Operation Fast and Furious had engaged in a risky tactic known as "gun-walking."

Two of Holder's emails and one from Cole appear to show that they hadn't known about gun-walking but were determined to find out whether the allegations were true.

Oh an AP story...not a Fox News story...noticed first by the sucking sound of author on the teat of Holder’s cover story....half way through the story I look up at top of page and notice—sure enough “AP”. My BS meter is in tune.

If Operation F&F began in November 2009, I don’t understand how he could NOT have known. Date is according to this:

Obama Made Pre-Inaugural ‘Pledge’ on Stopping Guns to Mexico; Holder, Napolitano Worked Issue From First Month

(snip)

“Rather than “stem the flow of arms from the United States to Mexico,” as Obama pledged to Calderon he would seek to do, the administration, under Operation Fast and Furious, actually allowed guns to be purchased within the United States by known straw buyers for Mexican drug cartels.

In its resolution recommending that the House hold Holder in contempt, the Oversight Committee describes the essence of Fast and Furious, which began in November 2009—ten months after Obama made his anti-gun-trafficking pledge to Calderon, and nine months after Holder and Napolitano publicly indicated they were personally working on the gun-trafficking issue.”

” We need some answers” that will spin the truth and get us off the Congressional hook.

This is what Holder means. Holder and our fascist president do not want the public to discover that Fast and Furious was being used to arm reconquista guerrillas in the American Southwest, so they could wage war against red states like Arizona.

Arizona stopped Holder and Obama COLD, as it should have.

And now what we have left is a radical movement that has no clothes looking for a place to hide.

Obama and Holder should be impeached. They committed acts of war against Mexico, treasonously exercising a war power reserved to Congress and the People exclusively. This caused the genocidal deaths of 300 plus Mexicans and killed 2 BATF agents. Ths is what we know of, and there may be more.

If they were ordinary citizens, Obama and Holder would be classified by DHS as criminals who should be arrested, tried publicly and executed for their crimes and acts of war.

When relying on the technique of gun-walking, federal agents tried to track suspected illicit gun-buyers instead of arresting them.

They did? How did they do that? According to these four ATF agents they were ordered to stop tracking the straw buyers when they crossed the border.

The Department of Justice ’ s Operation Fast and Furious: Accounts of ATF Agents

ATF field agents were sharply reprimanded for suggesting that they track the smugglers and guns. There was no tracking.

Eric Holder could indeed be perfectly in the right on 'Fast and Furious', and if he is then I suspect that he's found something awful in there that he cannot release -- like the BATFE planting F&F guns at the scene of Agent Terry's murder site, for instance -- that Holder himself knew nothing about.

I'm not saying that's the actual reason, I'm just illustrating that there's a perfectly reasonable explanation proving Holder didn't know what criminal activities some junior rogue element was up to, like ATF supervisors planting evidence at a crime scene in order to justify their department's entire reason for existence. Oh, yes I can certainly believe that.
