What Life, What Honor, What Fortune do WE Pledge? TAX REVOLT NOW
06/29/12 | Me

Posted on 06/29/2012 7:31:38 AM PDT by dps.inspect

Many people have asked Rush Limbaugh the question, "when is it time to worry" about this country falling into the hands of miscreants who mean to squander our national strength and wealth so as to rule over us as tyrants... to which Rush has always answered, "I'll tell you when its time, it ain't time yet". What say ye now Mr. Limbaugh

Many on this and other sites have wondered out loud, "when will it be time to go drastic, to the point of armed resistance if need be, to protect and preserve our liberties, free enterprise and self determination. What will be the breaking point at which physicality is the last resort to defend and protect this our birthright, was this not the original intent of this nations founding.

What say you?!?

Of course you know, this means war, that is, if you're serious... are you now ready and willing to give all you possess, even your life, for your family and posterity? Or will we all be content to simply say, "what the hell, if these people want to surrender, who am I to get in their way".

I say, let this war begin with a tax revolt, yes, a tax revolt. If millions of citizens refuse to pay Obamacare taxes, it cannot stand. But it cannot be done quietly and with only a few in number. We must band together in public places and in huge numbers... to say "NO WAY IN HELL!!" And be ready and willing to face jail and the confiscation of our belongings (they will be confiscated anyway if we do nothing).

First, go pray and talk to your family to see what is in your soul to do... I will do the same. Not sure that I have the guts to be the first to stand and proclaim a tax revolt at this moment, who am I?

It is time to tear down the tyrant's walls, to castrate Harvard and Yale, to war against only lawyers in politics, to stand boldly and suffer the consequences till the bells of freedom once again ring across this land. Are there any radio loud-mouths out there willing to put it all on the line? Maybe its best if this is done by the little folks, the mom&pops...

Let me help you. The IRS has two divisions when it comes to “tax evaders.” The first, is a paper tiger. If there is no outright fraud involved they will simple attempt to attach your property, garnish your wages, etc. The second, is not a paper tiger. It is the criminal investigation division, and they will attempt to put you in jail. DO NOT COMMIT FRAUD. If you don’t want to pay, stop paying. DO NOT LIE, and you won’t be bothered by a U.S. attorney.

My fight? 20 years and counting...

I always hold back a lot in Jim Rob's parlor, though you may have different standards and that's your call. Nor would I put forward any argument against your proposal.

However, in recent posts I have suggested an alternative, for those who might not be brave enough to face jail and criminal charges and so forth.

One can risk one's liberty, as you suggest, or one can forfeit one's comfort, convenience, financial security. The latter would be entirely legal. It involves ceasing to pay income taxes by the simple recipe: quit making income.

Most anyone can stop working; the question is merely whether they are prepared to live on what very little the law allows before income tax applies.

As I have written several times lately, if enough people did this -- and in an organized way, and remember it would be quite legal -- the government would surrender in a matter of weeks if not days. It would be more effective than armed rebellion, for which the government has a potent answer. To deny the government revenue is its absolute worst nightmare, an annihilating black hole.

There are two ways to "just say no," and both have consequences. I understand if you don't want to shoulder a gun and head out to spill blood; but if you're serious about restoring America, you should be willing to live like the Founding Fathers. And they had it far worse, with none of the bennies you'd qualify for. Take your income down to under $10k a year and you can not only scare the LS out of the tyrants, you can also tap them for free phone service, heating assistance, housing assistance, cash assistance, Medicaid, food stamps, and numerous other handouts that they are obligated to provide and that will break their bones more effectively than any projectile you can fire.

That said -- if you still want to commit rebellion, I fully believe that Heaven would approve. :)

Starve the beast. We can survive without their money, but they can't survive without ours.

I don't know how many times I've suggested legally avoiding anything with an attached tax like a plague. If people would do that, the tax and spenders would suffer dramatically.
Car pool, and avoid the gas tax. Or do everything in one trip.
Barter with neighbors. "Favors" are perfectly legal.
Stop buying junk and paying that consumer tax. Look at you basement, closets, or garage. It's full of stuff. You don't need all that junk. Save your spending money. You're going to need that extra cash sooner than you think.
Buy from Craigs list or e-bay for higher priced items. (Moving sales often sell brand new, very expensive things at a shockingly low price)
Don't buy a new car, lawn move etc. right now. Fix the items you have. Always pay the repair man in cash. What he does with that cash once it's out of your hands is not your concern.

If both spouses work and one is lower income, you'll find it's actually costing your family to work extra - more than if only one spouse worked. The additional job not only costs more for a car, clothes, fast food, daycare, etc., it also puts you into a higher tax bracket. (This is a dirty little secret the politicians don't want you to know.)

Be creative. Maintain an anti-taxation mentality at the cellular level. You'll be surprised how rewarding it can be. Make it a way of life.

Interesting thoughts bump

Imagine if every tax payer did this in protest.
It would be perfectly legal.

Sir, you pose a very difficult question. I have been wrestling with this very question for several years and have come to this conclusion.

I am going to put all my property into a trust with my son as administrator. I am a two war veteran, 72 years old and receive a pension and VA disability plus social security. If worst comes to worst (IRS taking everything by garnishee) I could live with my son although I don't feature that idea but it is better than living on the streets

BTW - HEADS UP - STOCK UP on a few extra supplies if you're not a prepper. Dock workers may be going on strike in Sept. No goods will be allowed to enter the country.

(This may be the reason police officers have been calling into radio shows and warning people they're practicing for "an event" Sept. or Oct.? )

You need to add:

Cancel your monthly cell phone service with its excise taxes and buy a Tracfone and just add minutes by buying a card. All you pay is sales tax on the card, no monthly excise taxes.

Cancel your cable or satellite service with their kickbacks to government...
Added benefit: you won’t be subjected to the socialist pushing media between now and the election.

When you call to cancel these services, let them know that you are canceling because you are Taxed Enough Already.

If you own an auto that is parked and not being driven, do not renew the plates.

If all patriots did not make any taxable purchases except for essentials between now and November, we could starve the beast. Deny government money at every turn. If the liberals want to bankrupt the county, let’s give them a taste of what that will feel like.

Not only that, but the "non-working" spouse can save a fortune on budget items like food by having the time to shop, barter, and cook from scratch.

Buy from Craigs list or e-bay for higher priced items.

Buy on ebay -- but don't even think of selling there! Use bonanza.com instead. Buyers there can be informed that you accept checks, money orders, or whatever. Ebay and the all-but-mandatory Preypal will suck your blood, and they also make it easier for bad-faith buyers to steal from sellers.

Before you settle on Tracfone, talk to people who use it. Virgin Mobile also has a pay-as-you-go option, good phones, and excellent customer service. However, their network hasn't the range that Verizon has. I am told Verizon is better than ATT also. VM works off Sprint, I believe. Anyway, with Verizon you can reach Schrodinger's cat in either state. Their pay-as-you-go is 25 cents a minute.

Done it all except for the satellite. We need one for the Internet. It's where we get our news.

As far the auto, we've gone one step further. We buy "disposable" used cars (very little consumer tax if any) . We buy from non-mechanics, and fix what ever is wrong ourselves. A $400 car (top shape, no rust. Seller was told by garage the engine was blown, but it just had the wrong sized spark plugs.) has lasted us 4 years so far. We can resell it for $2000 if we want, but we'll stick with it until it dies. (We paid the seller in cash, of course.)

Because of Obomas cash for clunkers, the used care business is almost moot. That seriously hurt the lower class, because they depend on those cars. Because the pickings are so slim, the cost of an older used car as doubled, or trippled in some states. The "poor" can't afford new Oboma GM's!
For us, it's no big deal. We look for the better cars with problems we know are small, but the seller thinks are huge.

Laundry soap is expensive. If you have kids, you know how much you're paying to do the wash!

Non food items, in most states, are taxed. You can make a 2 gallon bucket of your own for about 71 cents. A penny a load!

Tricks like this add up, especially if every tax payer jumped on the tax avoidance bandwagon.

One of the best things a parent can do to starve the beast is to story feeding them our young. If one parent drops out, seriously consider homeschooling, and teach our history and constitution.

As for money, cash money outside the banking system helps to starve the beast. If it is sitting in a safe at your house it is not contributing to the velocity of money circulating plus a bank cannot loan it out.

What say you?!?

I've examined this question in the light of the Just War Doctrine. The analysis is contained in Chapter 1 of my book, RESISTANCE TO TYRANNY. I'm not ready to say we've crossed the line. Every individual must make that decision for himself. What I do say is that the JWD represents some 1500 years of Western Culture's thinking on the justice and morality of war, including armed revolt. I recommend you take a good look at the JWD, in your attempts to decide for yourself where your line is, and when it's been crossed.

Just remember, if you attract followers, you're a Resistance leader. If you don't, you're a martyr. It's always a roll of the dice.

Yep. Pay with cash. No paper trails for you or the seller. You may be honest, but making sure the seller pays his taxes is not your job. Just pay and walk away.

Make that an economic strike. Zero discretionary spending. If enough working people seriously stopped spending, the Senate would find 60 votes within a few weeks. It can be done without rallies, arrests, and without sticking our necks out.

Exactly. Avoid ANYTHING that has an attached tax.
Food is tax free. Cleaning supplies can easily be made from food.
Baking soda makes a great cleanser for cleaning sinks and tubs. It also deodorizes. No tax!
Vinegar kills germs, and the odor dissipates within minutes. Great for cleaning windows. No tax!

All these little things add up if it becomes a tax payer "revolt." AND - it's perfectly legal.

Get groceries with a friend, or share the ride to work. That reduces their bounty by one weeks worth of gas taxes. Imagine if millions joined the protest and did the same thing. It would be devastating for the beast.
