The Justice Department moved Friday to shield Attorney General Eric Holder from prosecution after the House voted to hold him in contempt of Congress.
The contempt vote technically opens the door for the House to call on the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia to bring the case against Holder before a grand jury. But because U.S. Attorney Ronald Machen works for Holder and because President Obama has already asserted executive privilege over the documents in question, it was expected Holder's Justice Department would not take that step.
Deputy Attorney General James Cole confirmed in a letter to House Speaker John Boehner that the department in fact would not pursue prosecution. The attorney general's withholding of documents pertaining to Operation Fast and Furious, he wrote, "does not constitute a crime."

The DOJ is an enemy of the US Constitution and Congress.
If Congress had one testicle-equivalent between all of them,
they would realize they CREATED the DOJ and the Courts,
and arrest Holder and defund the DOJ until the terrorists,
aliens, murderers, and criminals which comprise
the DOJ are removed.

Eric Holder was appointed to to make sure the democrats and Obama could pollute the voting system just long enough to secure a second term which is when the mischief begins.

Likely that it was all planned from the top. One intriguing, and devious, conspiracy theory has it that the goal of F&F was not another Assault Weapon ban, primarily, but instead was the destabilization and encouragement of civil war in Mexico which would in turn allow for all illegal Mexicans in the US to be declared refugees and thereby getting around the political taint of another actual amnesty. (That it could have generated another AWB in that case would have been a secondary benefit.)

Simply put, if the laws were enforced as written a lot of public official would be in prison. This very much includes judges.
What you are seeing, especially with the Obamacare ruling, is that things are now decided to be legit by the very Powers That Be after the fact. That is, now what was illegal can be declared legal, and legal declared illegal at whim.

That’s why contempt votes lead to civil trials.
The Senate is not likely to work with them on the matter. On the other hand there’s nothing stopping the House from detaining Senators who stray into the House side of the Capitol building. After they get enough of them hogtied and sitting around awaiting their turn at the one portapotty in the portable cell, the remaining Senators will be much more willing to boldly go where no Senate has gone before.

Will NOT prosecute. Awesome. Absolutely no surprise, but confirms to everyone that the Obama Administration is NOT the MOST TRANSPARENT. We have one wing of the Legislative Branch that is against the American People, we have an Executive Branch that is LAWLESS and we now have a Judicial Branch that will not buffer us from Unconstitutional Law. Issa said (on Greta VonSustren’s show yesterday) that this was anticipated for the Criminal Contempt citation. That is why a similar Civil Contempt citation was voted on right after the Criminal one was.
Now this goes to the DC Courts, where Holder and the DOJ do not have authority.
And the House always has the option to arrest Holder directly, but this hasn’t been done in 80 years, there is no longer a Congressional jail and a stand-off between the House Sgt-at-arms and the FBI wouldn’t be pretty.
WE need to demand that Holder RESIGN!!

Over the next 8 days he will begin seeking private council to move ahead with the filing of a civil lawsuit against Holder. If Obama/Holder don’t turn over the docs prior to that then the lawsuit will be filed in DC.
He said specifically that Obama/Holder are going to try to get by the election using Executive Privelege just as Nixon did in 1972. And he is confident the court will be accomodating in scheduling dates to get this thing rolling as it involves 2 branches of government. So this will not go away quietly until after the election...
