Coca Cola and union members from Teamster Local 1035 have reached an agreement putting an end to a six-week strike.
Union workers voted and passed a six-year agreement that includes annual wage increases and additional company contributions to employee retirement plans.
The agreement also provides shared responsibility for healthcare costs through employee contributions, Coca Cola said in a statement released Thursday night.
Workers will be returning back to the job on Monday morning.
Question to anyone in that geographic area:
was there an actual shortage, or did the stores bring in Coke bottled at other locations?
Isn’t Coca Cola a company which recently ceased its support for ALEC? Guess its cozy union connections are the path to power in Washington these days.
I live in the area. No shortages in the long run, maybe for a few days after the strike started until alternative arrangements were made.
I’m in central FL and a friend of mine (an employee of Coke) was rotating up there as a driver. The stories he told where great. Especially getting delivered through the picket lines in hired limos and party buses.
I drink RC Cola. I didn’t even know Coke was striking.
Don’t confuse Coca Cola the product (KO)
with Coca Cola bottlers (CCE) spun off in the 80s
two completely different businesses

Does CCE bottle KO?
Yes
Since Coca Cola is not using taxpayer money to mollify the Union thugs, I couldn't care less
However, I can get along quite well without ever buying Coke again.
