How can it be that two days after the primary, things are such a mess? Is this how a democracy functions?

Stupid. Anybody who has voted in NYC knows just how chaotic it can be. Last time I voted there (early 2000s), I was stepping on filthy write-in ballots that had been carelessly dropped by the elderly, incompetent poll workers.
