Team Romney: No, we’re not declaring ‘cease-fire’ on Obamacare
Washington Examiner ^

Posted on 07/03/2012 12:09:58 PM PDT by Perdogg

In the days since the Supreme Court decision upholding Obamacare, some Democrats and commentators in the press have suggested that Mitt Romney is declaring a “cease-fire” on the issue and will no longer make it a centerpiece of his campaign to defeat President Obama.

I have said all along that it is impossible for us to know who Mitt Romney is in his heart of hearts.

So, you're going to vote for someone that may only cares about reaching the White House because it will help him become a god in the next life? Or someone that may be so ruthless, he will lie and do anything to get elected? You know even know or care? That's brilliant!

Exactly what do you think was in his heart when he was CEO of the 2002 Winter Olympics and sought to exclude the Boy Scouts because they wouldn't allow homosexual scoutmasters? What was in his heart when he was attending Planned Parenthood fundraisers as governor of Massachusetts? Or when he took over companies at Bain to vulture their assets and boost the dividends of Bain?

Our country and our freedoms are in peril more than any other time in history.

Correct. That is why we can't afford at least another eight years of the nation drifting to the left by putting Romney in the White House.

We must vote build up the most significant conservative majority in Congress and at the state level in recent history and have a infrastructure ready for a conservative leader like Scott Walker in 2017. That is ONLY hope we have of turning the nation around in the next five years.

Remember, starting tomorrow you’re on the corner of Elm and Main for an hour with your Romney sign. Friday night you’re penciled in for the phone bank. Let the campaign know what time you’ll be there. Also, did you get the bumper stickers and have you put them on yet?

“As a conservative, I’ve voted for many less-conservative-than-me politicians. Romney’s nothing new in that dept.

Here in Texas, Dewhurst is running for Senate vs Ted Cruz. We need Ted Cruz, but I’ve voted for Dewhurst. If you moved Dewhurst to Massachusetts he’d be more liberal than Romney.”

The mere fact that you do not understand the sheer insanity of yous statement is perhaps the chief reason we now have the situation we are in.

ABO.Unfortunately right now that means Romney, anyone who thinks another candidate or another vote for a 1/2 percenter "pure conservative" will help has lost their minds........

Anyone that thinks conservatism is going to be advanced by voting for a liberal Republican has lost his mind. Liberal Republicans advance liberalism. And, we can't afford eight more years of Romney or another Democrat while the country moves to the left and all the gains we made in 2010 are wiped by a failed Romney President. Thinking that is acceptable and not worse than four more years of a lame-duck Obama Presidency is insane.

You have learned nothing from two failed Bush Presidencies. And, Romney is far more liberal and dishonest than George W. Bush ever was.

Scott Walker in 2016 because we can't wait eights for a conservative to ascend to the White House.

Kaz, Lake has adopted the ‘lost their mind’ meme and uses it whenever one of us shoes the fallacy of his ‘logic’. I don’t know when he snapped, but he used to be a straight up conservative.
He’s now on the roof with the dog riding right off the conservative reservation. But He’ll be happy to explain to you that you, me and any like us advocating sticking to principle are the problem, not the solution.

Liberalism is indeed a mental disorder.

I had to go back to June 17 to find the question I presume you are talking about. You do realize that the back and forth on these posts has to end sometime? I hadn't bothered to read your question. But I just did. The answer to your question is ‘yes’.
Now, Norm, man of integrity answer mine:
Brown, Warren, or fill in the blank

Tisei, Tierney, or fill in the blank

Romney, Obama, or fill in the blank
3 REAL votes to repeal Obamacare. What would you do?

Well Mr. “Yes”, that does not answer the question I asked.

So why don’t we try again. The question is “How can a conservative vote for Romney without abandoning his conservative beliefs?”

The answer is “Yes”? Are you sure it’s not “Tree” or “Bubble Bath?”

Now if you are saying that a person can vote for a liberal and remain conservative, you are an idiot. A person voting for a liberal is a liberal.

Think of it this way. If you had sex with a man (assuming you are male) would you still be hetrosexual?

So, again, got the umteenth time, when you answer my question, I will be happy to answer yours. Please note, again, that “Yes” does not answer the question posed.

Wait. This has actually gone on long enough. I will answer your question with all the integrity effort and honesty you put into answering mine.

The answer is.... 42.

LBJ was pretty bad, maybe a close second.

I'm sorry, even he didn't hate the US, he didn't like communists, and he wouldn't have liked muzzies.

Bushes? Meh, piker moderates. Is there anyone who wouldn't go back to their moderation vs Bambi's full throated radical crap?

I'm sorry, I don't care to give up, you obviously have, you're just going to stink into the woodwork and piss and moan, and help reelect president Hugo Kardashian.

And then you'll piss and moan and blame it on anyone but yourself.

Au contraire, I would prefer a Reagan like candidate, but guess what? WE DON'T HAVE ONE!!!!!It's also true most of us would do anything to be back with the RINO squishiness of the two Bushies. I didn't like some of what they did, but it's not full throated anti-US, full throated Marxist crap.

That you guys don't know the difference is astonishing. And quite honestly very stupid.

I hope you enjoy trying to reelect Hugo Chavez Jr. I'm sure he'll be totally restrained during his second term....../s

We don’t have one because people like you keep voting for the libs the GOP pushes on us. The more we vote for them, the more they offer up for us to vote on.

Lake, do yourself a favor and read up on cause and effect before embarrassing yourself any further on all these threads. I don’t like making you look bad, but you are doing this to yourself.

Norm, honestly, the only question I found asked directly to me was back on June 17. You have me confused with another poster, rogue yam. On this thread my question to you was the first one asked between you and I. And ‘yes’ was an adequate answer to the question asked directly to me on June 17.

You won’t answer my very simple, direct question because your answer will negate all the Romney bashing you incessantly do. I understand though. Some folks have a harder time than others admitting they were wrong. Pride is a very powerful thing. Have a great forth!

Bramps, post the question I asked and we’ll see because I KNOW I have asked this question repeatedly and to date, no one, including you, has given an honest answer.

I made it an open offer on several threads. I asked it on this thread. I asked it in my last post to you. You have not answered it. Please do.

As for your question, My answer is this. I will not vote for a liberal and I do not care one iota if America joins with me or not. I do not care if they are D or R or I. I do not care if you lose income over it. I do not care if I lose income over it. I do not care period.

Today of all days is about men and women who said no to tyrany. YOU want to elect tyrany because it’s more preferable tyrany. I refuse to walk the high wire in the pathetic little GOP circus. To you the words, intentions and actions of the Founding Fathers mean nothing. If they did, you’d follow them. To me they do mean something.

And on the 4th of July, you really should feel some shame for your statements.

Actually Norm, you are the one who is totally misunderstanding what happened.

You are presuming romney was shoved down our throats by some incredible unresistable GOPE force. The truth is, our favorite candidate did not run (I seem to remember you saying you were 100% sure she was running...), no other great candidate stepped forward, then Cain imploded (all by himself), then Gingrich stepped in and could not handle his past (which was very real), and Santorum couldn't muster enough strength. Guess what, I don't like this, but Romney won more votes and had a better campaign. I didn't like him, don't like him, but he's what we have.

The choice is a RINO squish or a full throated Hugo Kardashian Chavez Jr. and you seem to prefer Hugo Kardashian Chavez Jr. One of them will win, there is no other.

Your path is self destructive and stupid beyond belief, helping to reelect the worst, most destructive president ever.

It's you who are reelecting true tyranny. Working for the relection of Hugo Kardashian chavez Jr. may be the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.

Happy Fourth, tyrant lover, and good luck with that.

To: Lakeshark; Windflier

Yes, I certainly did say she was. And you were right there with me doing it. We were wrong and that’s life.

The difference is that while I thought we were joking about You, Windflier and myself being Soros lackeys in a nefarious plot to get her elected and taking payment from him to do so, you seem to actually BE a Soros lackey, distorting the truth of how the GOP fully backed ONE candidate in this season to the great exclusion of the rest...including their former Speaker of the House!

George Orwell weeps. Are you SERIOUSLY going to try saying that this race hasn’t been manipulated by the GOP to give us the Lib?

Do you care about your credibility at all?
