Life Insurance Is Now Mandatory!

What if new parents were required to show proof of life insurance prior to taking their newborns home from the hospital (just like they have to have a car seat). Should parents have to show proof of “financial responsibility”?

Clearly the greatest need for life insurance is that you meet your social obligations before you check out (bug out?) early. There are billions of unfunded public debt your governmnt is counting on your taxes to pay, especially the unfunded pensions of public employee early retirees who have self-sacrificed more by the time they're fifty than you will if you work to the age of 85. (I wish Scalia had used this argument instead of broccoli).

Article was written by a life insurance agent saying why HE thinks life insurance should be mandatory.

Let’s get more basic: What if new parents had to demonstrate that they were married before being allowed to take the child home?

Let’s get even more basic: What if people had to demonstrate that they were married, and gainfully employed, before being allowed to procreate?

Let’s not focus on the “what if’s” but rather work to get rid of the “what we have” in front of us.

We have prayer and work to engage in.

It’s an ill wind that brings nobody good. Of course there are winners when the government takes actionagainst the people. But , if health insurance, why not life insurance? Ben Franklin himself said “nothing is sure but death and taxes.” He didn’t mention “sickness” for which you do need health insurance.

How in the sam hill are the baby mamas from the ghetto, who have their first babies as teenagers, going to show any evidence of financial responsibility?

Or is this the sort of idea for which officially aggrieved minorities, illegal aliens, etc. would be exempted from????

Here’s my point in posting this: if health insurance can be mandated, why not life insurance also? There are compelling social obligations.

There are compelling social obligations.

And so is bathing daily. "Citizens, stop at the next booth for a 'sniff test'".

And your point is well taken. This Obamacare mandate may be the first of many such mandates placed upon us. Mandatory life insurance may well be in our future.

And since Roberts’ legal logic is that Obamacare’s mandate is constitutional because government has the right to levy taxes, then anything can be done by the federal government, as long as it’s in the form of a tax.

“Life Insurance Is Now Mandatory!”

Life insurance. Just another way to describe a firearm.

Great, madatory life insurance will go hand in hand with the Obama-Care death panels. Kinda like a win-win.

I am an insurance agent.
This other agent is an idiot.

Of course, the liberals will want “postmortem guaranteed issue life insurance” since they do not understand how insurance works.

No offense intended, I know you guys are independent small business men. This was tongue in cheek, but it is as good an argument as the Obamacare mandate

Associated Press - New regulations designed to insure the U.S. government collects on any unpaid taxpayer federal obligations at the time of a taxpayer’s death, the IRS announced today that starting in 2014 it will require all taxpayers to carry life insurance.

Under the proposal, taxpayers must name the IRS as an additional insured on all life insurance policies with the amounnt of coverage determined by a percentage of the taxpayer’s average annual income computed over the most recent 10 years.

“Since most taxpayers already have life insurance through employer provided health care coverage or through individual polices, the change will pose little inconvenience to taxpayers,” said Malcome Wright of the Washington D.C. Bureau of the IRS.

“For those without life insurance in place, taxpayers will be required to show proof of insurance with their 2014 tax returns,” said Wright. Tax forms will have a line added that Wright said will appear as as simple check box to make the process easy for taxpayers.

The IRS change is expected to be implemented under executive order by the White House.

“Citizen, report to the showers.”

And a train is waiting, check the age group before entering and gender is of no importance.

Of course they would be exempt. Only the middle class will be expected to foot the bill for everyone that can’t pay their own way. As usual, the middle class gets ‘the big screw’ from the socialist Democrats.

Obama and the Democrats have done more, in less than four year,s to destroy the middle class than any of the Democrats have done in previous years, including Teddy “Hic” Kennedy.
