A Wisconsin man who wants to hand out Bibles at the 40th Annual Twin Cities Pride festival in Loring Park this month will have to confine himself to a booth just outside of the event.

Chief U.S. District Judge Michael Davis issued a 41-page order Monday denying Brian Johnson's request for an injunction that would force the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board to allow him unfettered access to the festival grounds, reasoning that his constitutional challenge was unlikely to succeed.

Won’t be long before Bibles are banned as ‘hate speech’.

My position is the same as if a pervert wanted to hand out “Pride” literature during a Christian festival. If the park is open to the public during this event, then he should be permitted to attend. If it’s open to the public, then the government cannot restrict his lawful speech or actions once inside the park. He should be permitted to hand out Bibles from inside the park. I’m not sure it’s the right answer, since the few that are taken will likely be desecrated, but it is protected as free speech.

What’s wrong with him?
Why can’t he just hand out Korans?

There is a Communist Muslim in the Whitehouse... sheesh... some people didn’t get the memo...

You can be proud of anything you want unless its proud of being a Christian.

I guess he should have said he was going to hand out Korans

The organizers claim the park is “private property.” If so, then this is probably the correct decision.

Actually, you may have hit on a strategy.

Pit liberal darlings against each other and see who wins. Someone handing our Korans, or carrying a sign with some of the Muslim pronouncements about what should happen to homosexuals, would get darned interesting.

OK Mr. Brain dead liberal - which one you going to slap down?

He should hand out both.

He could put an excerpt from each on the cover. On the Bible it could say “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”

On the Koran it could say “Kill the Infidels!”

If I remember correctly, Muslims are not quite decided upon what should be done to homosexuals... they are divided... some feel they should be stoned to death, others feel they should be tossed to their deaths from tall buildings, while others think that hanging is a suitable solution... so the Muslim debate is still quite healthy and active...

I choose to ignore them. But I am not a Muslim.

This judge needs to be impeached since he clearly doesn’t understand constitutional rights.

But since we only have cowards on the right it won’t happen.

Time to pull out the ammo.

One should not be proud of being a Christian, but be grateful instead.

But for the grace of God one could be an atheist or worse.

It’s time for the new media to start calling these judges ANTI-RELIGIOUS BIGOTS. And then let’s start calling their phones and letting them know that they are ANTI-RELIGIOUS BIGOTS.

Actually this already happened in Canada. A guy was convicted of “hate speech” for quoting the Bible’s view of homosexuals.

Once “gay marriage” is the law of the land here ANY church refusing to perform the ceremony for them will lose its tax exempt status.

I believe you are right. I also believe that Christians, in particular, will be arrested for refusing to acknowledge gays in their churches, Boy Scout troops, and etc.
