You can check to see if your computer is infected by going to the following link at http://www.dns-ok.us. I did use it and my screen showed the "green" image that my computer is free of the dnschanger trojan.

This story stinks. I cannot understand why anyone who ends up in the ‘Special Servers’ is not send am automatic alert, for those who are completely offline in the critical period there is a different problem.

First of all, kudos and thanks to Lucky9teen for that advice, and I would suggest taking it a step further and actually blocking that federal website by using your 'hosts file' (on Windows machines), Google up the terms 'hosts file' and 'block websites' and you'll get plenty of methods to do just that.
I would definitely add 'www.dns-ok.us' to your hosts file to prevent even an accidental click on that link.
Screw the feds and their bogus 'let us check your machine' baloney, plenty of other ways to do that by NON-governmental methods.
I don't trust the bastards, do you?
